Was thinking about this build the other day, haven't seen an update in a while.

Understandable, but can you give us a hint on how many cylinders? I am currently thinking s63tu.

IMO probably not a great idea for stupid horse power levels if owner wants to track it, the chassis will likely have some hard time putting it down with the short wheel base and tail happy nature - unless huge aero mods will be done like tyspeed.

I know the owner has endless amounts of money but I guess I don't see how this is an M2 anymore? I think you could get a random rolling chassis of a completely different car and do the same thing.

I thought s55 was capable of making gobs of power with simple enough mods.

It is, so not sure why the owner is swapping the engine. If the owner is serious about tracking which it looks like he/she is. Then huge power would not be a good idea judging by tire size and current aero package, as you will not be able to push on the track constantly sliding around.

Even with tyspeeds crazy aero he can still get tail happy with a ps2 n55, so I don't think over 500-600 whp on this stock chassis is a good idea. You'd probably need a wide body kit for more rubber all around.

At this point, it's more of a bragging right to swap an engine and making shit ton of power. I don't think he really cares if the car can put down the power.

S58 swap would be pretty sweet...and by sweet it would be even better with the DCT. But that would be quite a pita so I'm guessing 2JZ.

Maybe the owner is Ken Block and we're looking at a future Hoonigan car? If this thing gets a massive hydraulic handbrake installed

Just kidding, Ken's work is probably done in house. But the insane level of teardown and rebuild of a brand new car has that sort of feel about it.

Super awesome swap and build. Definitely an interesting choice picking the M2C chassis for this type of build/engine swap. Would've expected choosing a lighter chassis. Nonetheless, very excited to see the completed build!

Extremely disappointing, to be honest. This car was everything up until this engine swap. Sacrilege.

At that price point for the engine and engine management it's definitely a confusing choice considering other options.

I'm more confused by the chassis choice. I would think a lighter, stiffer Supra chassis makes more sense.

And if you must have an M2 but don't care for the S55 then why not buy a OG M2 and swap the bumpers?

That's a good point. There isn't really anything unique to m2c that's left on the car. I guess a new s55 would have great resale, although money does not seem to be a factor here.

Hmm. Are you still gonna be using the aluminum strut brace, carbon brace, and the cowl/shock covers? If they don't fit anymore with that engine, I'll buy them from you if the price is good and they're undamaged.
