I'm the opposite, can't drive the car smooth in Comfort mode, only in Sport+

I drive in Sport+ 100% of the time unless it's cruising on the highway or raining, put it in boring comfort mode.
DSC goes off if I select Sport+ then switch to Sport if I put DSC on again, do you always drive with DSC off?

In Sport+ mode, it's actually in MDM mode even though the DSC indicator is on. This means DSC is not completely disabled, just a little bit to allow you to get somewhat crazy without killing yourself

Not sure why people are getting the harness for the ASD instead of the app to code it out. The app gives you sooo many more features too. Am I missing something?

I have read that coding it out still leaves some hissing or other sounds in the ASD. Plus, I am scared as hell of messing with the electonics of this car. You could argue that using the bypass harness is also doing the same thing, but I'd rather not do flashing / coding of any electronic module.

Totally agree, although have read that some members here have had the dealer code the ASD off for them.

Never really tried sport plus but I will
SPORT mode all the time (including highways and all-day long stints in the mountains).

COMFORT mode: only if I want a cold engine to warm up fast(er).

I'm wondering if it varies depending on who has a tune or not.

Why not Sport? It has full traction and stability on but doesn't have mushy throttle.

Sport + most of the time except when there is ice/sleet outside (then either sport or comfort if it's really bad, but I also typically have winter tires on at that point). Some nannies are still on in Sport + and the car is still really predictable even in the wet with summer tires on. Sport + seems to only let you wiggle the rear a little bit before interfering. I prefer the sensitive throttle of sport +.

I find using Traction/MDM mode warms the car up faster due to the extra burble noises but not positive on this. I drive mainly in SPORT+ when warmed up due to being in MDM mode which gives it slightly more pops and burbles vs SPORT. Ideally I think would prefer SPORT+ with SPORT throttle but SPORT+ throttle is still fine.

I suspect once I've passed 500kms (i.e. 300miles), I'll be driving the vehicle in Sports mode daily.

This break-in period is killing me as I'm currently sitting on 85miles since ownership one week ago.

Very diff to drive in the city in sport + with dct in auto Mode cos it holds on to the gears.
If I drive around in the city w my kids then just comfort and auto.
When I’m alone and want to have fun sport/sport+ but need to manually upshift

Whatever mode I want. (although I usually only use Sport+ on the twisties) Why limit yourself, and honestly who needs Sport+ to go to the store around the corner?

I believe the hissing when you coded ASD out only occurred in early MY16s that had ID4 and the older style amp.

For cars that have ID5/6, it makes no difference whether you code or go harness. It's just personal preference. Both solutions work perfectly.

If you have ID4 you want the harness.

Your favorite driving mode and why?

I've been exploring different driving modes on my '18 M2. At first, I was mostly in Sport+ but have found lately that I enjoy MDM which I think is long press of the DSC. While the tires break loose easier with less intervention, it feels like it pulls stronger from second to third gear or maybe I'm imaging it.

Curious to know what your favorite driving mode is and why?

I drive 95% of the time in Sport. Mostly driving around town. So I want to keep the nannies active.

Long press of DSC is DSC off. Short press is Mdm/traction mode.
