Did the pack come with just the M slide or the M slide and Mperformance side?

I was trying to figure this out based on this picture. Looks like the M performance Slide is separated from the package.

It came with a number of different slides, but I don't recall specifically if there was an m performance slide in the pack.

Yup that looks very familiar. I think those are exactly the slides that came with it. I remember thinking the X one was random haha.

Genuine BMW part does not come with the "M Performance" slide. Also, the "X" is supposed to be for xDrive.

with the price of oem you could buy 10 pairs of chinese ones

someone could make the argument, OEM last longer, sure maybe it will, but you can get up to 10 chinese ones ... i doubt the oem ones have 10x more life than the chinese >

Yes, there have been other threads about the Chinese version fading prematurely, so there's some history to suggest the OEMs will last much longer. Then it comes down to valuing your own time and how much that's worth to you. You can buy the OEMs for around $100 online - I've seen them for less, but $100 seems to be a common figure - and install them and be done with it. Or you can spend $12, take the time to trim the opening because it isn't an exact fit, then when they die you take the time to re-order, then the time to re-install, then when they die you re-order, re-install, over and over. Only you know whether you have better things to do with that time or not.

Does anyone have a reasonable price link to the OEM puddle light? I can't for the life of me find any online.

These door projector lights look pretty neat but do people think they're worth the money?

I would only buy OEM but kind of feel they're not of great value. Kind of one of those things you might not even notice after 1-2 weeks.

Would be keen to hear thoughts before I make a purchase.

They came on mine from the dealer. It's a neat piece of bling but personally I barely noticed them after a couple weeks. Every now and then someone notices and points it out which is nice.

They are cheesy as hell but I love mine lol. I went oem, got em on ebay used for $70, they looked brand new, the type of part that used is fine as they should last a long long time. I think they are worth it for under $100, over absolutely not. I bet there are some chinese ones that are better than others but I did not want to get some and they looked faded after a few months or not as sharp.

I got oem ones. There are 2 versions, older version is in a white case and new one black. Not sure what the difference is but older version works and looks great. I can get a part number, older version much easier to find used.

For those with the M2C, the light won't fit perfectly without using a dremel.

Hmmm, it fit perfectly in mine. Its snug for sure but totally fine. Had to remove one to turn around the logo and came out fine and installed fine again

Weird, the instructions even showed dremmel being used to make it fit. It didn't sit flush when I forced it in, where you can't close the door.
