Nice! When is your next track day to test it out?

I did something similar, I just terminated the duct work just in front of control arm....it has survived dozens of track days:

Good point. If mine rubs too much or will be too low, then i will do similar setup temporarily.
I'm already thinking on a different solution in case it's needed.

The project for today was a rear carbon tower bar installation.
It's a great looking and heavy duty product by Meister-K from Japan.
The install was easy peasy, took less than 1 hour with preparation and clean up.
It replaces the factory reinforcement plate behind the trunk side trims, only some little cut needed on the side trim panels as seen on the photo.

Today i got a package, it was the Weichers front strut bar i'd ordered. I expected it to arrive much later so i was positively surprised. I installed it already, just a 30 minutes work.
It was just in time before the trackday tomorrow. I will see how the car behaves with front and rear strut bars installed.

Here is my report on this year's first trackday. I had a fun day today on the Pannonia ring again, and I'm very satisfied with my recent modifications.
During the week i checked the brake ducts and there were some rubbing and it gave too little ground clearance, so finally i modified them to Twt's version for now. I'm thinking on a solution to get ram air from the front to make it more effective, but there is not too much space there for the hoses. Anyway it was still effective cooling, the brake feeling was more solid on the end of the sessions compared to previous occasions.
The body's rigidity is definitely better with the tower bars I've installed. The turn in and cornering is very solid, i've felt the car better.
Great improvement in performance is the sport cat and the FTP boost and charge pipes paired with BM3 Stage 2 93 octane v5.6 map which i flashed on the day before. The throttle response is better and the lag is much less with the metal pipes installed. The car pulled better from lower rpms.
I'd coded the DSC and Diff to F82 GTS and the EPS to M2C and I'm a bit disappointed. The steering is great this way but the other 2 recode didn't have much effect regarding how much more slip they allow. I'd expected more, it was still quite intrusive in Sport+.
So these are my notes for today, i will make a video soon.

Today I had some bad luck. In the morning on my daily commute I've managed to hit a deer. The front left of my car is damaged, will see how extensive it is. The car can move fortunately.

Damn! I really don't think you hit that deer, he/she came out of nowhere and hit you!

Sorry about your car and I guess the deer paid the bigger price but it sure did some damage! I understand the body damage but I'm trying to work out what happened to the tire?

Thanks!
The tire is OK, just as the deer's body hit the wheel and the door some of its fur got stucked between the rim and the tire. That's what you see on the picture. It looks quite weird indeed.

Some pics from last trackday, made at the braking zone of first corner. Quite visible how the balance shifts to the front under heavy braking.

Wondering if you've had her fixed up and back on the road?

Couple of other questions:

1) Did you end up getting the Stahlbus Bleeder valves and if so, how are they working out?

2) Did you take any pics when installing the BMS OCC? Their web site doesn't have a N55/F87 application, it says E chassis only. Apparently you have to cut the engine cover?

It's still at the service. The car itself is fixed, just have to wait couple of days for the paint to dry before reapplying the PPF on the new parts. It should be ready next week so i can use it again soon.

1) Yes i've installed them before my previous track day when I did a full brake fluid change. At the end the bleeding was good and from now on it will be much faster to bleed the brakes after a couple of track days. It works as described.

2) I took an after install pic, it can be found in my 8th post. Yes i trimmed off a little from the edge of the engine cover to make room for the hoses. For the install I used the rear ball pin holder of the engine cover. It can be unscrewed, then i put the OCC holder frame under it. It keeps well.

Damn, that was quick to get fixed! Mine was in an accident Sept 2nd and I didn't get it back until end of February... 6 months at the BMW dealer. Then it had to go back to them to fix the crappy paint job they did. Which still isn't perfect as the factory finish.

Granted my accident was a little worse than yours. It had rear quarter panel damage as well, but nothing that should've taken 6 times as long as your repairs.

Anyway, glad everything went so quickly and smoothly for you.

Great, looking forward to seeing new pics once you are back in the drive seat and thanks for the info

6 months and then it had to go back...I'd be jumping on the managing directors desk!

Yea. I've talked a bit about it in another thread and don't wanna hijack Tano's thread too much. Tom Hesser BMW. Here's a few things. They lied about being a certified collision center, instead of repairing the wheels like I request and agreed on (very lightly scuffed) they ended up buying new wheels, then wanted to charge me $400 per wheel when I said I wanted my old wheels back, also wanted to charge me a core charge when I requested my broken headlight back, when I bought up the bad paint they said "well you won't even notice any of that after the xpel is put back on". Not only was the paint splotchy, there was dirt in it, bubbles under the clearcoat, haziness in the hood, a giant line in the door jam from where it was taped off, and a chip in the hood. For the last 4 months of repairs, he kept telling me "it'll be done in two weeks" so I would check back every 1.5-2 weeks and I'd get the same response and when I'd inquire about why it's taking so long he would say "well, you know. we wanna get the car perfect for you and these things take time" and he would say other stuff to stonewall me. The last few months of it, I stopped shaking his hand to greet him and when I would leave and he would get pissed off at me for it.

Keep in mind, the cost of repairs came entirely out of my pocket because I didn't have collision on the car and the girl that hit me didn't have enough coverage to pay for repairing all the cars involved in the accident she caused.

Also, that entire 6 months it was at the dealer... they refused to give me a rental car.

Thanks!

I'm running them with 255/35 on the front and 265/35 on the rear.
The suspension is stock for now but i'm planning to upgrade it with millway camper plates soon to reduce uneven tire wear on the track.
