Our latest F87 build is so far my favorite to come out of the shop. The F87 excels at pretty much everything you put in front of it and Schnuckiputzi is no exception. Everything we have done with this car has been to build on the strengths of the platform while attempting to eliminate as many weaknesses as possible. We have thrown just about everything we know at this car so far and the result is a car that is just as comfortable on the street as it is on the track.

Starting out we prefer to concentrate on braking and suspension as the first areas to address. Suspension the obvious choice for us was to go with one of our Nitron R3 kits. We matched these with the full compliment of MK Rennsport control arms. Brakes are handled by Essex's AP Racing front & rear kits paired with Ferodo pads. We went with the ENP finish despite the blacked out theme of the car for a little extra pop.

For the interior we still have a bit more to do mainly in bracketry for the added components we run. The seats are Recaro Podium CF - absolutely awesome both on the street and the track. We designed and built custom mounts to enable an easy installation and the use of the sub straps on the harnesses. For this car we decided on just a simple harness bar to help keep the weight down versus a complete half cage. Keeping with the spirit of a clean build we also upgraded many of the stock pieces in line with our aesthetic theme. We also designed and built all the mounts for the items like the cameras, fire extinguishers, etc. Just wanted to keep everything as clean as possible here. We will be revising a few of these a bit - for instance I want a removable center piece that houses the Aim Solo as well as my phone (or whatever device we are using to tie into Ecutek). We will also need to revised the rear closeout kit as well in order to establish a firewall from the trunk (more on this later). For the most part the interior is finished though.

The exterior obviously has some pretty noticeable changes versus the stock setup. To help cut a bit of weight and open up some venting we went with the Alpha N hood and fenders. The fit on these for carbon fiber pieces is excellent as is the build quality. We paint matched them as well as had the Suntek satin PPF applied to fit in with the rest of the car. The trunk is an M2 CS Racing piece that matches up perfectly to the rear wing assembly. Schnucki orginally came with a sunfoof and that just wouldn't do for many reasons so we swapped out the roof for the carbon fiber piece from RKP. The headlights were upgraded to yellow drl's (I know so original) and tinted a bit as well. The aero package is from Zebulon - much needed to help keep this little monster planted through the high speed twisties. Wheels we went with our favorites Signature Wheel. These are the SV504 in gloss black but we will swap them out for other styles from time to time.

Now the fun stuff - Schnucki will definitely run as good as she looks. For this build we went with the Mosselman turbos for the major power bump. The engine internals are still stock but we did upgrade the crankbub to the 4 pin from SSR. The only choice for the tmic is Wagner here and we matched it with their heat exchangers. With the intake snorkels from Commanderwiggin in the mix it's pretty crazy how good the car handles IATs. The oil cooler is an upgraded piece from do88 and we also included the Mosselman oil thermostat to help keep the engine happy. The exhaust components include AA downpipes with HFCs followed by a full titanium setup from Akrapovice (midpipe and rear section). The intake is Eventuri to help amplify those lovely turbo sounds and dress up the engine bay a bit. Fueling is currently handled by the Precision Raceworks Stage 3 brushless LPFP and a Dorch HPFP lift kit feeding EU5 injectors. With Bend Calibration's flex fuel setup we are able to run full E85. More on fueling later though. Tuning is of course handled by Bend Calibration as well as there is no better option in my opinion.

On this build we had the good fortune to work with many of the companies/people that we have developed relationships with during the OG Shark Motorsport era. We do things a bit differently than a lot of shops - we choose to only partner with and represent those that we feel provide the best service and parts. There were a lot of people that helped this car become what it is and I would like to thank them for their support and belief in what we do here at OG Shark Motorsport. In no particular order:

Bend Calibration - Ian and the top secret Mr. Bend Calibrator
Bimmerworld - Phil
Essex - Jeff & Matt
iND - the whole team including Dylan & Ryan
Inertia Laboratory - Chris (not going to find a better source of suspension knowledge anywhere)
Nitron - everyone there for allowing us to do what we have with our kits
Signature Wheel - Terrance (who I started working with way back in the day but don't hesitate to reach out to Jimmy as well)

And last but not least - thanks to my guys at OGSM. They are what makes this shop possible. Working with this group of guys is the absolute best part of what I get to do here.

Video from Super Lap Battle. Event didn't go as planned as we were working out new build bugs all weekend (first time the car was on track). Still had a blast though and can absolutely see the potential in this car.
