M2 vs Macan Turbo
The macan turbo is a better daily driver than the m2. They are very different but kind of similar at the same time. If you could have multiple cars the macan turbo would be my first choice as a daily, but as an only car I started to miss the driving experience of a manual transmission rwd 2 door coupe after 65,000 miles. At the same time there are things I miss about the macan as well.

Mine is CPO and I got 3 years 10 months on the warranty plus it’s unlimited miles on the CPO. I did pay a little more than $50k and mine is a 2017.

My wife’s Macan Turbo just had its 70k mile service. It’s been an absolute joy for her to use as a daily driver. I do get it on occasion. My wife would laugh out loud if I told her my M2 was on par or better than her Macan.
What really impressed me about the Macan is even at 70k miles, it’s just as tight as a brand new 2019. We had a 2019 as a loaner for a couple days. Usually there’s a rattle or hiccup somewhere that distinguishes between old & new. Not so in our case. We ordered ours and was the 2nd Turbo delivered in 2015. She’s spoiled for certain now though. Maybe looking at a 2020 Cayenne S. The Cayenne Turbo Plain jane version is $135 ish. No one orders a Cayenne T without many of the goodies. More like $160 when done ✅ the must haves. |

I chose the Macan GTS (360 hp) over the Turbo. The GTS is the sweet spot and cheaper with every option including torque vectoring system. One hell of a vehicle. It should not be able to corner the way it does.

I agree. GTS is wonderful. I opted for the Turbo since they seem to have better CPO prices and GTS hold their values a little better. There are also fewer of them since Porsche started the Macan GTS run later in the model run.

One test drive in a new Macan S and my wife has completely lost interest in the M2C. I thought the M2 / M2C would be the logically choice since she loves her 2012 GTI Autobahn . I blame it on BMW I took my M5 in for service and they gave me a X3M40i to use and my wife really liked the drive ability, ease of getting in and out of, storage capacity, and more features inside. We are waiting for the new X3 M before deciding if the Macan will be her next vehicle.

I was really smitten with the X4 M40i but being used to the acceleration of my C7 and tuned 135is, I was wanting a bit more out of an SUV. Even the sport exhaust on the 19 is quieter then the normal exhaust on the 16. The other is the torque delivery. They went to a single turbo this year and the new motor feels stouter at lower rpms. It's not a huge difference but it was something that I noticed right away. It's still an absolutely fantastic driving vehicle. We're taking it on a 2000 mile round trip vacation next week and I'm really looking forward to being behind the wheel. |

I have owned the M2c for almost a year. The best M car I have ever owned.
But I started to think of changing it to used Macan GTS or X4M since I would need a towing vehicle to transport my 911 GT3 between racetracks. I have not yet made a decision if I make the change in the end as I like the M2c so much. Btw, do I understand it correctly that Macan GTS is a better handling car than Macan Turbo? |
