Shipping Blocks - is there a record?

I purchased a "new to me" 2019 M2 just over a month ago and recently got around to fully inspecting/learning the car. While looking over the front suspension, I pulled up the rubber gaiters up and found 1 shipping block still installed (on each side).
The car has 33k miles, is this the record for these blocks still being installed?

How did no one notice it riding like a covered wagon? The M2 has very little suspension travel as it is, with the blocks it has none.

I know.....no idea how those were left in for so long. Luckily, I only put about 300 miles before checking for them.

Crazy. I think this is more common than we would think. After my break in service I was installing the M Perfromance suspension and found 2 blocks on the drivers side. One white and one blue one. At the time I was also making adjustments to the fender liner to prevent rubbing. Made me wonder if it contributes to the discrepancy that some rub on the same tire sizes and some don’t. If you haven’t physically seen it yourself then it’s definitely worth a check. My ride height didn’t seem that high with them on but I’ve seen others on here running stock that looked more lifted.

Garage List
The dealers are supposed to check for these as part of the pre-delivery inspection; it is on the checklist. I believe they are supposed to give a copy of this to the customer, but I don't know how often this actually happens (I did not get a copy myself, but I did pick mine up at the performance center in SC).

gw16 Can you share a picture of the shipping blocks? Would be a good record to show what they look like for everyone to see.

Sorry, I tossed them before taking a picture. There was only 1 one white colored block each side (I think new the cars are shipped with 3, 2-white, 1-blue, but this is speculation based on other pictures I have seen).
