Welp still no changes for me status says at the port and remedy available but I guess just hasn't been fixed yet. I absolutely love to hear that the car is worth the wait though! Very reassuring!

This is my exact same situation... week 17 build just got to Baltimore and the recall popped.
OK, mine finally went to "Remedy Available" today 6/13 after arriving at the port on 6/1.

Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get it fixed and on a truck. The probably a few days drive from Baltimore to MN.

Hopefully it'll be to the dealer by the last week in June? Then another few days for PPF and ceramic? Maybe I'll get to drive it on 4th of July?
My car updated to "In transit" today and Customer Relations confirmed it left VPC but it's still got the Stop sale.

EDIT: Recall now shows fixed a couple days after leaving port. ETA to dealership is 6/20 or 21. Hopefully I can pick it up this week still.

I got the call today. My car should be delivered to the dealership on Sunday. However the car is now showing a stop sale, and they do not have the parts to fix the car. They also said they can't order the parts until the car gets there.

At first I didn't mind the wait, but not it is getting pretty fucking annoying. For those who have already gone through this, about how long did it take for your dealership to order, receive, and install the parts so you could pick up the car?

I'm very close to just saying fuck it and buying another motorcycle.

My situation was a bit different but I caught on that was going to a different dealership and we snagged it up while on the boat. They called the port and the port manager said the parts were there waiting for the car ( recall) car arrived to the port on the 9th and it got processed recall fixed and shipped to dealer as of yesterday. Picked it up today. I was very hesitant to put a deposit down on a car until they could confirm those details.

After driving mine back from the dealer yesterday, this car was 100% worth the wait. Stay strong!

Also, I can’t believe all the hate this car gets for the sound. I have a 2017 GT350 and coming from that, I think the M2C sounds awesome. I just want mine to be a little louder, which means exhaust could be the next mod.

I like it too. Complaining about how a car or motorcycle (or F1 car) sounds is weird. As long as it performs, that should make it ok. I like the way the 718 Porsches sound too though. Companies making pipes for Harley Davidson motorcycles had sound clips on their sites for potential customers to hear they would sound like....that was years ago, but an ultra hipster move.

FYI - I believe we were on the same boat and is now at the port. Just checked and looks like my car has an open recall now as well. Very hard to understand their logic at this point!

The BMW recall checker isn't updated regularly. I got my airbag fix and the website still says my car has an open recall.

My parts were "assigned to my VIN close to 2 weeks ago.

Then they were "shipped" and were supposed to be there yesterday.

Now they are "confirmed" to be on the way.

But they are still not there. If I call the service department they have no clue.

I can order something on Amazon at 5pm and have it next day and know where it is every second of the way. But no one knows where these airbags are or when I can pick up my car. 🤬.

Worst part is dealership is 5 hours away (had to find a manual" so I've got to fly there or arrange a flat bed which takes 3 days to coordinate. 🙄

Today is the day! 17 weeks later, this chapter should close and the next chapter of a road trip home should be wonderful. I'm documenting my experience here and my trip home on my Instagram @perrydrives

I'm planning to get a M240i instead of a M2 but this has been the best thread to track the progress of the recall that I've found.

I have not purchased the car yet, and the recall page now says "Remedy Available" and the dealership is able to get the parts. So some parts (maybe the airbag for one side vs the other) are more available than other. I am in SoCal.

Hopefully it gets resolved soon for everyone else!

congrats!

confirms there's no rhyme or reason as to how they're updating and delivering cars.
