LLB on M2C why not?
In the prosess of ordering a M2C after a disapointig time with my i8 Roadster! Its now down to pick between HS or LBB! Like the Blue but I get the feeling that the LBB M2Cs is Kine of unloved!? Sory for puting forward this subjektive topic but I would like some perspective on this matter as I am kind of 50/50.

Sunset Orange, yes! But unfortunately that’s the one color option that’s not available for me. I am not able to order/spec a M2C for Norway any more. Only cars that’s on the way/in the system... So AW, BL, HS and LBB it is.

I know I am opening up a Sh*t storm with this statement, but...I almost ordered a HS sight unseen, but stuck with my favorite color and went with blue, LBB.
When I went to the dealer for my break-in service they has just gotten in a HS. I looked the car over multiple times and just could not see what the fuss is all about with the color. Maybe it was built up so much for me I expected something amazing? Either way I am very happy I went with LBB. But the decision is all yours and what you want.

If I had to buy an M2C (I much prefer the OG), it'd be Sunset Orange with 763's. Just so perfect.

I seriously can’t do another silver or white car even on a muscle/luxury SUV let alone a hooligan fun car. IMO, nobody does blues like BMW even when they call it carbon black. Blue in general is their signature color. Last edited by MystroX5; 06-06-2020 at 09:35 AM.. |

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think LBB is the most popular color. I know it was on the OG M2.

BSM 17%, Grey 20%, White 27%, LBB 36% *US Production numbers. Personally, I only wanted LBB. After my space gray E82 was taken out by an tractor trailer who "didn't see me", I wanted something brighter. No regrets. If I was buying an M2C, it would be between Sunset Orange and LBB. HS doesn't do anything for me. A neighbor has one and it just looks drab/boring to me. One guy I know that just bought an LCI wanted any color except LBB, so I think it's more a love/hate thing. Lots of people dislike the turquoise that shows in certain light and it's not a classic BMW blue. |

I get compliments on my LBB M2C almost every time I drive it. It's mostly from people who no nothing about the car. They just say "beautiful car"..."love the color".

Color is so subjective. Get what you think you like and don't look back. As far as I can tell, those who chose LBB love it.
I don't regret ordered HS at all - it is the most unusual color I have had on a car.

Had HS on order, changed to LBB and glad I did. Saw HS in person at dealer and was not impressed. Personal opinion though. Hopefully you can see both in person before you order.

The OG M2 and LBB are so linked in my mind that I have a little cognitive dissonance when I see it on the M2C.
When I bought my M2C last year, the supply was really limited in the Pacific Northwest. I originally had an allocation for HS, then changed it to LBB, and then when an SO M2C became available locally due to another buyer backing out, I picked up that car instead. LBB and SO are definitely the flashier color options and HS is a bit more under the radar. When I saw it in person, I was underwhelmed. Under the bright dealership lights it looked...white, and I'm not a fan of white cars at all. I think HS looks nice when it tints towards bluish gray. |

It's a very dynamic color, and it always wins my attention among other cars. I think it also suits the lines of the M2 well, almost as well as black.
Enjoy the car whatever you choose! |

I used to own a HS M2C and I decided on it by eliminating other colors. Unfortunately the color selection on M2C is very limited and when i ordered mine I wasn't in love with any of the options. For the current owners, below is just my opinion so please keep that in mind before getting defensive
AW: Pretty safe choice. Looks great especially combined with CF accessories but it's not a special color to me. SO: I love it when it looks orange and I don't care that it's available on non-M cars (unlike some others). However, in certain lighting it looks pretty brown and not a fan of it at all. LBB: In 2016 I ordered an OG M2 in LBB after seeing all the pics online (then I ended up getting an M4 and didn't pick up the M2). When I saw the LBB M2 that I ordered in the sun while picking up my M4, I was pretty disappointed. Everyone posts LBB pics online that look really nice shade of blue. However, in real life the color looks much more greenish especially in the sun. I prefer a deeper blue but again just my preference. If you haven't seen it in person, definitely check one out on a sunny day to make sure you like it. HS: I think it looks great in low light conditions but in the sun it can look like white. I got a lot of compliments for my HS M2C and I liked it more and more over the time but certain things still bothered me. If you pay close attention to HS photos or the car in real life, you can easily notice the paint on bumpers do not perfectly match the rest of the body. Yes, bumpers are plastic and the rest is metal but I think the paint mismatch is the most pronounced in HS. BSM: I think BSM is the best looking color for both M2 and M2C. The car looks just amazing IMO in black. I didn't order it because I thought BSM hid the details and you can't really notice the CF bits due to lack of contrast. Also, keeping it clean is a PIA. However, if I had to do it again, I would go with BSM in a heart beat. Last edited by M-Pilot; 06-07-2020 at 12:59 AM.. Reason: typo |

I was unsure about LBB when I was looking at pictures. When I saw it in real life, I loved it and knew that's the color I wanted. I get compliments about it all of the time. Like another post said, people who don't know cars definitely notice the color in a positive way.
