ASked them also if they tried with different modes to see if there is any benefit from the supposed more agility allowed in SPORT and SPORT+ modes, but it seems they were not allowed to do that.

Saw that vid too. Crazy!
Moose test by same guys on the Active Tourer. Amazing..."same" as an M2. I hate to admit.

What Im seeing;
The Boxster is clearly breaking after the first left braking turner , while the M2 is not. FWIW |

Well this was painful to watch ...
The 718 was completely unfazed. I wish they hadn't aborted the 83kph test after clipping the first cone. |

The 'destroy as much cones as you can game' lol. 225Xe is an 'AWD' car which probably benefits a bit( balance/weight front rear?) from that layout in those moose tests. And I like the Macan etc, but what's this? Cheers Robin |

Hi, Porsche replied to this question. They say their ESP is tuned to avoid car rolling over on this test, and so the strange behavior. Believe it not, this is their explanation.

Having just gone moved from my 1M to a 2022 Cayman, I am still shocked at how good the Cayman is while at the same time for a four seat car, how good the M2 is. It is just a heavier and taller car and it's just physics. BMW has done a really good job, but as an BMW fan, the Porsche is just at another level obviously due to mid engine design, lighter and lower. Furthermore the one thing not mentioned in the test is that while the M2 has one suspension, the Cayman and Boxster have 3 variants. The base non active suspension, PASM -10 mm drop which is an active one and the Sports PASM with -20mm drop and slightly larger anti-roll bars. Based on the fender gap, I am guessing this one has the PASM -10mm drop, but not sure. If that is the case, I wonder how the S-PASM -20 would perform. I wish they mentioned that. So kudos to BMW for making a tall, heavy car handle so well for what it is but it is definitely a squirrely car and that is why some other cars do better in this test. Since I speak Spanish, they mention that the M2 requires higher levels of skill in there as well to get the best out of it...but we all knew that already. : )
