I disagree, it looks pretty close to that IRL. I saw the car with my own eyes. Adem1534s pics look most accurate.

His pics were taken with two different devices and each device rendered the colors differently... the higher res images looked more like what I've seen with my own eyes.

LBB reminds of the depth in the Atlantis blue color.
Works great on the M2!

If I decided to buy an M2 in blue, it would be LMB, IB, or EB (in that order).

It looked like his cell phone camera pics, not the SLR. He even agreed with that.

Must be the lighting then. Seems like overcast conditions produce a color pushing toward teal.

Its not teal like many of these shitty cell cameras make this out to be. Its metallic blue with a hint of green. This is from a Nikon D750 with 24-70mm 2.8 glass set on neutral and no touchup from my trip to the Welt this year. Notice in the YMB M3 pic the LBB X6 in the background for comparison. Similar lighting conditions for both cars indoors under 3000k halogen lighting.

The X6M looks like it's about 4 different colors. Compare the hood with the sides, intake and fenders.

regardless of all this back and forth, the consensus of people who have gone out and seen THIS M2 agree that the car is more or less a shade of teal when outside in the slightly overcast conditions we all saw it in. It is a very nice looking and complex color, but not the straight blue that many people are trying to say it is or how it appears in a number of photos. I will be getting the M2 in LBB.

Additionally this dress is blue and black.

Here are some outdoor shots in direct sunlight at the UDE. This time with a Sony RX100III with 24-70mm Zeiss lens.

Metallic paints can color shift from indoor to outdoor. I see this as a unique feature over flat paints. Its a beautiful color in direct sun.

Right, exactly. LBB has flakes for days, so one part of the car never looks the same as the next. That's why i find it interesting, and you can try to explain what this color looks like to someone that has never seen it 1 million different ways.

However, I absolutely 100% promise you guys that LBB in no lighting condition will look as green and teal as that Honda from the previous page. Just no.

I like how people are citing camera models a pic was taken with as if that has any substantial bearing on how the color is captured and rendered without a known balance reference point.

Most people's monitors are crap and the sRGB colorspace is particularly limitied in the blue/green area of the spectrum.

So go see LBB in real life or wait for a photo that has a colorcard in the shot.

After seeing these pics of the X6M in LBB from multiple sources and seeing what the M2 looks like from various pictures in the wild, I think I'm 95% sold on LBB. My last step is to go see the color in person, which I am trying to do this weekend on an X6M. At first I wasn't keen on the teal, but it does not overpower the blue in any lighting conditions and adds a unique look which pairs well with the aggressive nature of the car.

Garage List
LOL....settle down, I am SURE it looks great in person...It does look teal in one of those pics though...O, and that civic got me through college.

And personally, I would have loved an EB 1M, so I'm disappointed the M2 will not be offered in that color...for now. If I didn't have a VO 1M aging gracefully in garage, then I'd likely be in for a LBB M2, and maybe lighten the wheels to anthracite.

I love how certain people want to keep debating with all of us who have spent way more time with LBB that it's green. It's not green. The Welt pics above provide yet another glimpse of the base tint, which is blue. It's called long beach blue. It's not green! There have been plenty more accurate pictures of this color posted in this thread than the very inaccurate front page shot. Someone even changed the color temp to bring it more neutral to help you guys out. If you base your color decision on those green pictures, well, just remember we tried to tell you otherwise! Lol. Maybe I'll take a picture of my X6M next spring with an M2 to see if they are different colors with the same name lol.

  • "So how's that color again of that BMW you're talking about, my son ?"
  • "Well mom, to my eyes it's a kind of cocktail blue, but for some others it's more kinda green, or no, it's blue with hints of green, or, listen, it may be - so I say this hypothetically - green but with a blue hue."
  • "???"
  • "Ah forget about what I just said: most disagree, but it's more some sort of teal with a touch of turquoise, or the other way around if you like, depending on what's teal or turquoise for you. But then again, it really depends on the time of the day and whether it's full sunshine, partially sunny or overcast. Also, it ain't the same in real life as on your iPhone, my Samsung, dad's Nikon, bro's laptop, sis's tablet, my desktop screen, etc. Oh, and you know what, at night it's also quite peculiar, but not quite exactly the same as on the X6M in the dark."
  • "Oh, I see... Why didn't you just take black ?"
