For what it's worth,
I think three things should be included in this: 1) there should be a homage to F87 and the most deserving post of the M2 imho is the LED headlight. It looks like an eagle and is as distinctive as it gets. If you look at the 2002 sticker, you could see what I mean. The outline of the light and grille screams 2002 from 10 miles away. 2) there should be acknowledgement of the CS and I think Misano Blue is the iconic standout feature here. 3) to really distinguish the CS, instead of just the colours of the ///M brand, put an insignia of the M2 CS badge (or even the badge itself) ..... so maybe, incorporate the light or an outline thereof, and a shared M2 CS badge (or the real thing), on a Misano Blue background!? That's my two bob's worth I hope it'll be useful

I'd be a little cautious of a plaque being mounted 'front and center' in the interior. Should it not retain some element of being an easter egg if you do decide to fit one? Personal preferences means the size and shape should be generic enough for each of us to decide or a perfect spot we can all agree on.
For me, a plaque would likely accompany the VIN plate in the door jamb and sit above the door catch. Another viable placement would need a custom shape, likely laser cut, to fit behind and around the USB port - small flat surface there. Maybe too small for all the details we'd like - unless its kept very clean and simple. Is this viable? Thoughts? Somewhere else on the console could also work. In terms of design, the roof weave is surely the defining characteristic of the CS - I like the idea of incorporating that pattern. Any colour to the design should match your spec or given we all have exactly the same red stitched interior (not sure I can stomach MB near my AW)

Feel like we are going down a rabbit hole because design opinions vary so much. Speaking only about the sticker and in the interest of keeping it simple, I would
be ok with the only distinguishing factors being the specific carbon weave and US and/or Global count(s). |

Ok, All of the US cars are done and I'm ready to publish the list! I was thinking about using a view only Google doc to publish this. Open to other suggestions if anyone has a better idea?

ScullyD now that we know our US order of production, what custom caption are you going with?
I'm thinking "444 of 568" (I don't actually have car # 444 but I wish that was my # haha) I think I will just order, assume I can select M3/M4 CS Style, and then reach out to have them just change to M2 CS. Their embedded demo video made it seem like they customize the art right in Photoshop. |

All,
Please be patient on ordering anything!!! We are going to get Military Deliveries and Performance Center Deliveries added to the master list. This is going to change the overall total and your individual 'count'. Sorry for the confusion, I'm doing the best that I can! Thank you

Yeah, that was a safe bet. I submitted late Friday so hoping to amend my caption too. What style did you go with again? I asked if they could update M3 / M4 Style to show "M2 CS" instead.

I asked them, it seems like most people do front windshield, passengers side. I was thinking rear quarter, but once i get it, i'll take a look and see. Would love people's thoughts here.
