carbon fiber roof
I live on the east coast, long island to be specific. I want opinions on shops that do flawless work and have experience for the ind carbon roof install. I don't want to pull the trigger until i get a decent price quote for the install. Let me know of your choice of shop!!!!

Mike@ind highly recommended Martino Auto Body in Long Island when I inquired about the same.

I agree. Most of the estimates I've received were between $2-2.8k.

Guys, I'm as surprised as you are by Martino's quote! I've not seen a body shop exceed the mid $2000 range, and we've got a large sample size to establish that figure- we've been working with various shops to do carbon roofs since the E46 M3.
I'll reach out to MAC this week to discuss. At the worst case, we can happily perform the install here at IND $1,600.

double BOOM!! thats a great price. I still find it weird because when I contacted MAC they said they were waiting for my call since a worker at IND contacted them about the carbon roof. I don't know if they are just extremely pricey, because I don't understand how they can misunderstand this since the info came different from IND. No bashing on any company just VERY CONFUSED. Is there any IND shop located on the east coast? LMK

I did speak with Martino- they'd like to see the car in person, and may come in much lower than their original quote. I believe the only way to get an accurate quote from MAC at this point is to show them the car in person and have them quote the job directly.
In any case, the pricing from IND is confirmed.

I believe I saw a post where IND stated the job should take 8 hours, and a very experienced shop they use (done 47 roofs or something) charges $95/hr. So figure that plus the glass removal/re-install.
At $1600 for IND to have it done, almost a no-brainer. $6k, |
