Optimal Winter Setup for OG?

What is the optimal tire size for the winter tires of an M2? Lots of people suggest 245-40/18 but it is quite a bit smaller than stock, but should I worry about speedo inaccuracy?

And because my car is an OG, I can fit 18" rims. What aftermarket rims did you guys choose aside from the OEM 640M? I am looking at RIAL X10 (Size:18x8 Offset:30mm Backspacing:5.71" Bolt Pattern:5-120). They are really cheap and weigh 25.65 lbs, but I don't know how they would look on the car. I am open to suggestions.

PS: I didn't want to start another thread so I edited my old one.

They look like M Double Spoke Style 184 wheels off an E60 5 series.. I believe they're +20 offset, 18x8. They might fit if the barrels clear the brake calipers.

To answer your new question, Apex wheels fit quite well and are pretty popular here. Most of the different styles will FIT. They're active here on the forum. Shoot them a message and they'll give you some good options.
