It would be cool to see how the M2 CS performs against the Supra. Seems like the M2 CS might not sell well due to the Supra performing so good and being cheaper than the M2 comp.
I thought this video was total horse shit. Two novice drivers. M2C with DSC off, a 6MT, and stock tires, vs auto supra.

Gee I wonder why they were having problems with grip when coming out of corners.

^^^Bingo^^^. I’ll tell you how, the M2C was too much car for them. This is why social media video reviews like this are worth about what you pay to watch them. Anyone with a camera feels validated to make a video.

Yeah, the driver in the video above was not too skilled with the M2C. He was fighting it and not understanding the car.

I am waiting for Throttle House to compare these two cars. One of their drivers is very skilled with the M2C and he will make an honest go of it.

Your choice of an M2c, Supra or C8 Corvette. What a great time to be an enthusiast! And to think, more hardcore variants of all three are on their way. F87 M2cs, G87 M2, Supra 2.0 and C8 Z06 & Zora. Love some competition.

While I agree these guys aren't professional journalist or even professional drivers.....roll racing can be done by a kid with his brand spanking new permit......the results of that rolling race caught me by surprise!

Yeah, i'll give the Supra its due, it looked easier to drive as well. I'm sure the gap would be a little smaller if the transmissions were the same, but the truth is the reason I went with the M2 comp over the Supra was the M/T anyway.

The Supra is a nice car. I don't even mind how it looks. But no manual is a no buy for me.

zf vs 6mt + shit driver. I would wager the results would change under different circumstances. though the official numbers put them with a tenth of each other in the /4.

Its a cool car, but I'm not sold on the looks compared to the Z4 and especially the M2. But it's cool that it exists and gives consumers the option. The B58 is a good motor, I really like it in our F33, but prefer the S55 because of how visceral it is in comparison. 1st world problems.

Spinning the tires on the Supra hurt its launch. This was a poorly performed drag race.

Here's another Supra video, kind of.

Most likely front loaded map strategy like most BMW TwinScrolls. Original M2 behaves the exact same way

I'm sure once some of these tuners really get into it they'll button it down.

Two 12 years olds go for a drive. That was cringeworthy and wasted my eyesight.

I like the Supra. It's a nice softer GT style car. But if I wanted a 2 seater GT car I would buy a Jag or Aston.

The M2C is unique. That's what I love about it.

The video was embarrassing.

This is exactly where I was at with finding a replacement of my C4S. I was very hot on the M850i and test drove one along side of a M5. I liked the M850i better than the M5 but found the interior extremely small and the back seats were smaller than my 911 which was deal breaker as I have small kids that like to ride in Daddy's "race car". Then I test drove a M2C as a third car that day and I was in love. Game over. It was a perfect car in size/performance/looks. Price had absolutely nothing to do with my choice.

Was the back of the M850i smaller than that of the M2C?

Yes. Smaller by a lot. I think my 911 had more backseat room than the rear of the M850i. The trunk is big in the M850i but for a car this long, the interior in general is way too small.
