Anyone running 10mm spacers front/rear with stock wheels? Any issues/rubbing?

Looking to do spacers on my stock M2C wheels, considering 10mm front/rear but don't want any rubbing on full lock/with passengers/over bumps/etc.

That depends entirely on your ride height. If you aren't lowered at all it won't be an issue. If you're slammed then it could be a problem.

Stock ride height. Think it won't look like the wheels poke out too much on the M2C with stock wheels?

Looks are totally subjective so your "too much" may not be the same as mine.

Most people here (with stock wheels/tires) will run a 12 front and a 10 rear. That's what was suggested to me when I was new here so that was the first set up I tried. Turns out that wasn't the right sizing for me. I don't like my wheels tucked inside the fenders, I like them flush, so I sold those and bought 15's. That spacer width allowed the rims to fill the wheel arches just about perfectly. I could increase the fronts to 18's but at my ride height that would probably cause issues so I've decided to stay put at 15 on all four corners.

You can zoom in on these photos to examine the fitment:

(Note: The OG M2 has the same OEM wheel and tire dimensions as the M2C)

I run 10 in front and 12 in rear. It's perfect. Doesn't even stick out

I run 10mm front, 7.5mm rear on stock wheels/michelin tires, and am lowered on KW coils and I rub a front on the plastic fender liner maybe once a month if I hit a huge dip with one side of the car while driving. Here's what it looks like from a few angles/lighting situations (tons more pics on my IG if you want different angles)

i read somewhere here that the fender liners are different on the M2C which might cause rubbing. i just recently added spacers and went very conservatively with 5mm all around. i just wanted a slight push out of the wheel to be about even or slightly under the top of the fenders since i am at the lowest setting on the M Performace coilovers (installed rears without the perch).

I’ve been running 10mm all around on stock setup. No issues, still a lot of clearance.

Any gotchas running wheel spacers besides possible rubbing in specific cases?

Is the idea of spacers being hard on bearings not a thing anymore?

Any alignment issues?

Looks awesome!

For what its worth, I tried out 10mm all around on stock height and wheels for a M2C. The front looked fine, but the rears poked out too much for me. The rim was slightly past the fender looking top down. Ended up with 5mm all around, gives me some room to move to a 255/275 setup later

If you're lowered, I'd go with larger spacers as the wheels tuck in more when you drop.

Having a M2C with M Performance Coilovers (-2cm f/r) and stock 788M.

What spacers should I be looking for to get a flush look?

It's personal preference. I would just buy a few sizes to test and then return/sell the one's you end up not using.

I've measured exactly over the weekend. Rear 10mm and front 12mm would be perfect. Illegal in Switzerland... 🤬

10mm all around would be ok but no hub-centric available....

Get a 11mm set next week for testing from a friend, will see....

Buying all i consider and send back what I don't want also not possible in Switzerland. That type of shopping works only for clothes and also only in certain stores..

Tend to buy new set of half inch wider wheels for next season. Would be the better solution for various reasons..

See if you can find something like this:

https://www.ecstuning.com/News/ECS_W...nt_Kit_Global/

You can rent and return it for a small fee.

H&R TRAK+ 10mm all around. Was the right decision together with the mp coilovers (-20mm).

Rubbing/contact impossible even under maximum load (tested). Actually plent of space left... 👍🏼

That's what I have right now. 255/275 Conti's with 5mm spacers. Front could stick out a bit more, or maybe that's the illusion because of negative camber. But otherwise they're good. I bought the 5mm spacers to use before upgrading to 265/285 tires.

I feel that 5mm was the best for stock height especially in the back. The front you could do 7.5mm if you wanted to very even.

Pics? Would you have gone with 10mm if not planning to move up to 265/285?

No, I wouldn't. The wheels stick out past the fenders, but the tires are still stretched, so the tops of the tires are in the fenders. I don't have a good picture. I don't take pictures of car. But I put it on my todo list to get you one tomorrow.
