I find the front straight at Willow Springs to be pretty bumpy. ACS has the smoothest roads

Thermal is pretty smooth but a private member only track. Unless you get an invite for a private special event or go to the advanced M school you likely won't be able to access the track.

They repaved Big Willow (Willow Springs) this year and I thought it was really good.

Hey, just got back from abroad. Pls include me in your future events. I signed up with speed ventures and it said since it's my first time tracking (done many canyons but no legit tracks) I would have to drive with an instructor next to me. Is this true? for the entire day?

I will let you know for the next one (might not be for a bit, got long vacation coming). I'm not sure if the website forces you to select having an instructor but I highly highly advise that you get instruction, you'll be and feel so much better for it and they'll eliminate bad habits before you develop them on your first track day. No, they don't ride with you the entire day, most times Its one, two sessions. You can tell them whenever, that you want to go the session alone if anything. A friend who came with us last Sunday to track was also instructing at the speed ventures event, and the guy he was instructing was pretty happy with it.

That sounds great - thank you for the explanation. Yeah, for sure please invite me to future events, I am itching to start tracking especially because i'm looking to add an ND2 miata to my stable and as you know a non-tracked miata is a wasted miata haha

Buttonwillow is pretty smooth. Speed Ventures is doing ACS Roval on August 17/18 again. SCCA Track Night will be at the ACS infield on August 24.

Buttonwillow has smooth roads and is tons of fun! ACS is also very smooth. Be careful it’s addictive and forget about nice paint.

I used to have an E60 M5 and I took it to a track in Palms Springs that used to be called Chuckwalla and now is call Thermal . I have not been there in many years. The track was amazing: it was smooth and the layout was lots of fun. I know this reply is a bit late. This is also my first post.

Thermal is a private track so not an option. Still thanks!
