I did eBay item 254118704756 for $28 this morning, worked great. I'm on software NBTevo_Q18491I and iOS 13 beta 7, so on the newer side and it works flawlessly. Information (links, codes, etc.) needed is sent via eBay message in a timely fashion.

interesting - so does this mean you have "split screen" turned off in iDrive or is full screen default just for CarPlay? Thanks!

Split screen operates normally everywhere else and can be shown or hidden, but within the CarPlay UI it is not present and the option to show it is disabled.

This! How do I backup the version I have before I install the new one? I excited about the full screen and unlimited CarPlay(mine all ready expired) I just don’t want something to break in the idrive and they blame it on the update and void a warranty etc.

I'd recommend to be cautious with all 3rd party mods to the nav system. Stuff like bimmerunlock.com etc works fantastic, at first sight at least... last october BMW changed their online/update system so lets say you applied a "lifetime" FSC to enable CarPlay they will detect and remove it.

Depending on your dealer multiple scenarios may apply.. from absolutely nothing (bmw system deleted your illegal lifetime fsc code but tech from the dealer restored your original fsc without questions) to complete replacement of the nav unit at your cost!

So before you do any mod/tweak I would always make sure you have a backup of your original FSC code. You can do that using E-Sys for example. There are also usb stick methods available which will create a backup on the usb stick.

As far as I know all those USB methods no longer work either way if your cars software is newer than nov 2018 (be it to enable carplay or backup FSC etc.)

I've been there. Its not fun. If you have a mandatory dealer visit and know they will hook up your car... not fun.

Installed Pedal Haus DCT Pedal kit a few weeks ago

Overall very satisfied with it, they have incredible grip. Much better than MP and ACS.

I just put 3M adhesive behind footrest and taped it to the original one. Much easier.

Just because it hasn't been mentioned anywhere, don't drill top left hole on brake pedal when installing. Bottom left and top right should be enough.

Picture for reference, but bad picture, so google a better one if you like the design and want better grip!

I don’t have a subscription based CarPlay in my M2c. I paid upfront as an option.

Is backing up your FSC necessary for people without a subscription based CarPlay?

Exactly what I wanted... quiet "stock like" in efficient and when valves closed (just a shade deeper), and NASTY when full throttle and sport+

There's an M meet in Fremont once a month. Check the Regional forums for the next date, should be in the next week or two. I went for the first time a few weeks ago, about 40ish M's. Lots of 3's and 4's, I was the only M2C.

If the mod you plan to do changes the FSC code then yes. Otherwise probably no.
