I'm thinking of going back to this particular dyno. I put down 349/367 bone stock and 367/408 with the Dinan sport tuner only (no DP).

I should absolutely crush the 400 whp barrier and push upwards of 450 WTQ on this sweetheart of a dyno....if only for bragging rights. Thoughts?
I think it would be cool and maybe more representatitve , I recall you mentioning that on your previous dyno run, the dyno was acting up and you had it in 4th instead of 5th? Or something like that. correct me if i'm wrong.

You could also try the Mustang dyno at Helix nearby.

You're running a full bolt on set up with modified turbo's and only getting a 50hp gain? To me it doesn't seem like it's worth $6000.

http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...psgscxqjnp.png

Yes, it's about a 50 whp gain up to about 5700 rpm. After that, the gain looks to jump to 75 whp (with a slight dip at 6000 for whatever reason). This is where the big turbo comes into play. I got this setup mainly for the high end pull. When ripping through the gears WOT, you stay in the upper RPM range obviously. This is where you really feel the added boost.

Again, I think I'll revisit my first dyno in Allentown in order to gauge the deltas involved.

I want to use a dyno used previously since baselines were done there.

It was dynoed in 4th gear at Fabspeed, not 5th which is closest to 1:1. Who knows how much that accounts for.

Man just do it, you won't be sleeping well without seeing 400 as I take it

I have the same exact set up...I wouldn't care if the dyno read 300 whp. My butt says it's a whole lot faster than stock. It's like the car snorted an 8 ball of pure Columbian and then got cattle prodded up the ass.

That being said i really like the power gains i see from just the fabspeed sport cat so i am considering it however i am scared it will make the MPE too loud or dronny due to the smaller backbox the MPE has, can anyone with experience comment on this is that correct or can i just go ahead with the sport cat with no alteration in the sound ?
Here's a clip of my M2 with MPE, Fabspeed SportCat, and Dinan CAI. Mods were in progression, starting with the MPE for 2-3 months, then the Dinan CAI 2 months later (I could tell an immediate difference in throttle response) then added the Fabspeed SportCat 2 weeks ago (the day before this drive). I'm extremely pleased with the sound and performance increases.

It is subdued enough in comfort mode/valves closed to not make my neighbors hate me, but still easy to tell there is something special going on.

Sport+/valves open is brutal and loud around the city, so I don't do it often but it sounds perfect on mountain drives (like the video).

Best way to start is with our Sport Cat Downpipe!

has anyone gone from just having the MPE and then added the fabspeed highflow cat right after? how much louder does it get? i have the MPE sounds great, contemplating a highflow cat but will it be that much louder? or will it just be the same loudness with a more aggressive tone?

I did. First thing I noticed was being able to hear the turbo whine, the sound is a little louder, more raucous and aggressive, that is with the flaps open, with the closed it is quite civilized.

Hey All, getting my fabspeed dp in a couple of days to go with my MPE. Just wondering if you guys got the downpipe installed at a BMW dealer or a muffler shop or just did it yourself. Don't want to wait an additional week for the dealer to do it if it is something my local muffler guy can do. Any insight would be appreciated.
