That said, PDC stops beeping the moment I pop it out of reverse, just as it did before I did the ID6 retrofit. |

As posted in another topic
I drove a (not updated) M2 LCI MY18 (20.000km) vs my (updated )pre LCI MY17 (60.000km) on the same day…back to back (both manual). When driving with my own M2 straight after the M2 LCI I could notice the following things: Gearbox: My gearbox is more notchy then the one of the LCI I drove. Has nothing to do with the update I know, maybe it's because of the lower mileage or the easier life that the LCI car had? I drive mine hard and also occasionally on track. PDC: Reverse keeps beeping fixed and works like in every other car. MDM: A little more slip. Engine: A little less turbolag (feels like a little less aggressive power delivery). Steering: I don’t think the steering is now absolute great, but it’s certaintly better. There’s is also more vibration felt from changes in road surfaces, but it still feels a little dead in the middle. I did not notice big differences in steering weight like before update. After updating to NBTevo_Q18491I do other people feel the M2 power delivery is less aggressive? Or is it just in my head

Hi. Sorry if this is a noob question. If I go through the trouble and update my own istep software with ENET cable, etc, what happens the next time you are at a dealer. Do they have record of what software you were at last time you were there and will question the change? Any ideas?

Thank you. How do you find out the age of software is there a look up table? I will pursue an update then at some point!
Guy I bought it from said he updated to 2019 maps but that's different to istep isn't it? |

Well, I was looking forward to having the Q update after reading about its benefits, but now it's on "R" R19144I as Bee Pee pointed out!
Admittedly, I haven't been driving my car a lot lately and I just picked it up from the center so I'm not sure what changes/updates could have been made. Curious to see what others with this update observe. Last edited by M2_Purist; 08-15-2019 at 03:36 PM.. |
