Cleaning (wheel) disk hubs

Hi all,

Has anyone a tip for me regarding cleaning the residue on the disk hubs?

Tried Chemical Guys D-Con V4 but it didn't make a difference.

Thanks!

Mine look way worse than that. Also the piece that hooks into the wheel is sompletely rusty.

So glad I've mellowed out as I have gotten older, otherwise I might have an answer for you

It'll require a bit of agitation but it'll come off with a wheel cleaner and a small brush. Although it's probably not worth it and is hard to get to effectively without removing the wheel. I did it only because I had the wheel already off to do the ceramic coating on the calipers (outside facing parts only).

Buy some carpro ironX. Smells horrible but it will chemically brake down the dirt and brake dust. I use it monthly and mine look flawless. I also use a detailing brush when washing the wheels which keeps them looking good

I did Iron X, Agitated it and brushed it and it still had stains. I did it twice and still the same results. I should have did the RPM Magic on it before hand to protect it.

I just bought new discs from another member. I likely will never put them on but it stops me worrying about the marks....

I want to say Matt from Obsessed Garage painted these black with a high paint temp on the 1M. He’s a forum member or you can email him. It’s on one of the 1M videos made when they were installing the bbk.
