Status is "In Transit" as of this morning! It's happening, guys! I let my CA know, so hopefully I'll get a PCD delivery date here shortly

You lucky dog! Still not built. I am likely relocating much closer to your neck of the woods. If I confirm that, I will reach out. I may do PCD now (again haha) because I need to look at houses in GA and its a perfect excuse to get down there.

It begins!
Got my VIN and moved to 'production begins' today. So so far so good on the projections of when things would be happening. |

Was at Performance Center today. A good number of M2Cs in the lot. For all you taking delivery there, you won't be disappointed, it's a blast, well worth the trip. Instructors and all staff there are super cool, really show a passion for the cars. The only negative .... it's just 1 day! I may need to start looking under the sofa cushions to fund an M Drivers course here in the future.

My build is week 22 and was told that it is in the last two weeks of production. No idea how accurate my salesperson was on this statement, but I think you’re pretty close to being one of the last ones produced.

Was always curious about this - For you folks who order your cars directly / get them “built” as opposed to buying new off the dealer lot.. What types of discounts (%) are you able to get for em?

In Mar 2021, there were no new M2C cars in the CT area according to kilter.com and autotrader.com. Autotrader was only showing used M2C cars. My previous CA at BMW North Haven told me there were no allocations at all in CT, and only 5 in the entire northeast region at the time. After calling some dealerships and looking around, found a dealership in Long Island with an allocation. The CA said it would be MSRP due to the current market and no negotiation. I put down a deposit and modified the order to my spec, rather than risking not being able to get one at all.

I've seen others post that they were getting around 5% off during Fall 2020 and over the winter. With the M2C production ending and dealers knowing there was limited availability discounts became rare over the past couple of months. When I ordered mine in March, every dealer I spoke with was only offering MSRP.

I got offered $500 off in April, but most were MSRP. I ended up going with an MSRP dealer because I got a build number same day. No "we'll find an allocation, I promise" stuff for me anymore. I have been bit one too many times.

Ah yes, don't forget the BMWCCA rebate kids! What's that? $500 back just for being a BMWCCA member in good standing for at least the past 12 months. If you're not already a member, DO join, especially if you think you'll ever buy or lease a new or CPO BMW in the future. The rebates alone make club membership worth the cost, not to mention the outstanding club magazine, Roundel.

I just got a message from my salesperson this am with a screenshot saying my build is slated for June 24th (not sure if that is week 22 or not?). Based on June 24th starting production, barring any delays, I am assuming I will pick it up around mid August timeframe.
