M Performance VS KWv3
Still torn between both suspension systems since I can get them at nearly the same price point.
Does anyone see any major pros/cons for them? I'll be using them on my daily driver, the height adjustment on both meet my requirements. Mainly getting them for the flush suspension look but the upgraded suspension should be nice. I have never had upgraded suspension so I'm not sure the advantages when driving. |

If both are available at the same $$$, OEM MPerf kit will retain OEM robust warranty whereas KW only warrant their kit not any consequential failure of surrounding parts ie top mounts/joints etc.
I believe spring rates on MPerf kit is slightly softer than KWV3 too. I run MPerf kit on my m2 and very happy as DD + ~6TD's pa

Well, the rear on the V3 uses a shorter main spring than the MPS, which would tend to suggest a higher rate.
Plus the V3 can - according to the installation instructions - be adjusted lower than the MPS. Which also tends to suggest a higher rate spring. |

I ordered my M2C ex dealer with the MPE coil over installed. Luckily I was offered the chance to have a look at it prior to installation. You can clearly notice the effort made by the involvement of BMW to prevent rattle/noises. This confirmed my decision to not go for Öhlins. It's my daily after all. After 8000km on the odo, I have to say I am really impressed on the boost in overall performance this kit gives you, icw the MPE lightweight wheels and PS Cup2 tires.

Me too. It’s not the large bumps that bother me, but rather small, closely-spaced surface irregularities that seem to unsettle this car. It doesn’t inspire confidence because it feels like it’s tripping over itself on uneven surfaces. Seems to need more compliance to find more grip and confidence. It may be great on a smooth track surface, but on real-world roads it’s far from ideal.

I'm currently running with 2 clicks less than BMW's recommended road settings for both C&R, F&R. The spring rates are higher than stock (as evidenced by low speed poor surface ride) but otherwise, it's an improvement on both low (undulations) and high (cats eyes and rumble strips) frequency bumps.

Haha, everyday I hear one way or another from people i message/ask. I think at the end of the day they will be equally just a good. It seems like if you want warranty or OEM fitment guarantee, go with M Perf. If you want more adjustability with height and potentially a better lifetime warranty on parts/rebuild capabilities from KW then go with KW. I hear people get their suspension rebuilt by KW x0,000 miles down the road and then continue to rock them for over 100,000 miles.
Edit: I'm most likely going to get KWv3 based on conservations I have had with people in DM's and from what I have read in other threads. |

I have V3s and they are much more composed than stock. Still trying to dial them in with new, bigger tires and camber plates but they're quality kit overall.
Only negative so far is the need to remove rear spring to adjust rear height. There are those that have had success using lube and/or cutting notches to adjust on the car but ymmv. I got a smoking deal on these or I would have probably gone with Bilstein PSS. |

The rear coils on the KW have more adjustability to go lower than MPE rear coils).
I heard a lot of reports that the front KW V3 coils have some clunking when turning at low speeds. Also KW customer service does not seem that great if you get issues down the line. I noticed that the MPE suspension has a isolator boot between the front coil and adjustment collar. The KW V3 does not, could this be the reason for the clunking? I am not 100 percent certain this is the case. Few months ago I got a quote for $1,9XX shipped to my door for the MPE suspension from Sun Motors. If any vendor has the same price let me know!

I have a positive experience with KW V3s, no clunks or anything for 7k miles. I thought it was the KWs but it turns out it was something else entirely.

I also have KW V3 and they've been solid, no noises or clunks. The rears initially needed to remove spring to adjust but now that it's been a few thousand miles they actually can be adjusted without removed (the perch is just locked into place better). No regrets since I got a great deal and they are lifetime warranty, but if putting on a brand new car or something with decent warranty left, I'd go with the M-performance ones to maintain the warranty. I had a bad top mount (before coils) that had to be warranty replaced and if I had M performance it would have been fixed where KW they would have told me to pound sand.
