Anyone painted these bits?

Quite fancy painting or wrapping these insets in black gloss, only can’t find any pictures to see if it’ll look shite or not.
Anyone got any or done it?
Cheers.

Well I’ve just spent 3 hrs having a go at this.
It’s definitely a job for the pros - the curved nature and the sharp angles aren’t easy to do, so I gave up...
It looked shit.

IMO it's not a worthy mod because the inlet themselves are less elegant than if they weren't there at all, and therefore calling attention to them wouldn't make sense. A better mod would be to hide them completely.

Secondly, looking at your fantastic garage, I wonder why you haven't at least swapped those TERRIBLE wheels with 763's.

Things that make you go hmmm...

That’s a valid point, but I quite like them in black...
As for the wheels, I actually like the standard wheels!
I like the 763 too, but can’t justify the cost... I don’t like them completely black either.

I am - clearly - into lockdown. I read this as a request as to whether someone had painted their "bits".

So. No one is currently suffering solvent burns. That's a Win...

Well if lockdown goes on much longer, I’ll be looking for some other way to get my pleasures....
Thanks for the idea

This, I'd be all over 763 if they weren't black or gold. I honestly believe the head of design for BMW is colorblind

Me too, on a VW. They don't fit the car in design at all in most opinions. But hey, if you like them.

But you could justify having your garage look as nice as the inside of my house? Interesting .

On your car, Orbit Grey 763's are the ticket, trust me. And if you don't want to spend that kind of coin, the Ferric Grey 437's would look a billion times better than the stockers as well.

Lol - that’s not my garage - that’s the dealership from when I picked the car up!

And I’m sorry, but those old wheels that I had on my F80 M3 way back in 2014 are soooo long in the tooth!

To be perfectly honest, I don’t keep my cars long enough to make sweeping changes - I’ve got through 12 cars in the last 10 years and have since got bored of modding too much, then trying to sell stuff on afterwards.
This M2 will probably be gone in the next 6 months anyway....
I get bored easily
