Pro: 1. Most like E46, just a well balanced car. Agree no mods needed
2. The manual is much better than I remember from BMW CON: 1. Seatbelts hard ro reach 2. Wheels a pain to clean/brake dust Yeah the gas mileage sucks, i am actually happy no HUD, i like the rev match, the steering settings are useless once u find one you like, you will stay in that. |

Pro:
1. The Drive is awesome. 2. Did I mention the drive is awesome? Oh I did.. It's a great looking car. Especially HS :P Cons: 1. Seat belts are kinda hard to reach. 2. The access to the back seat does not automatically move forward with a click. You have to hold it down for it to move forward. The manual says otherwise, because it was still talking about the OG M2 seats. OG M2 seats moves forward with one tap. 3. Having to disable auto stop/start everytime I start the car. |

A human shift causes RPMs to drop. Instead of waaaaAAAAMP waaaaAAAAMP of a DCT you get more of a waaaaAAAAMmmm waaaaAAAAMmmm with a Manual. Plus a 6 Spd has to wind out longer than a 7 spd.
It sounds different. Seriously Last edited by silverds; 05-20-2019 at 09:57 PM.. |

Pros:
+Lots of usable linear power and tunability +Exceptional balance and the perfect size chassis +The last BMW M with BMW Style gauges Cons: -I had to paint the exhaust can -Brake dust Note: (BMW has always used small gas tanks. ie 1 series, 2 series, older 3 series) - Note: (I can't wear Maui Jim sunglasses (polarized) with BMW HUD's) The M2C is the best M car I've owned, which includes: My Non M BMW's (Z3, 330ci, X1, X3, 135i) • e85 M-Roadster • e46 M3 • e92 M3 • e87 M2 • e87 M2C

Pros:
1) it's a completely usable daily driver/family car. I took my wife and kids for a sweet drive around the backroads this weekend and they loved it. I read a lot of comments before I bought the car about the miserable ride quality and that's nonsense 2) looks incredible, just enough flares and accents to be noticeable without being overly flashy Cons: 1) gas mileage (currently averaging 17mpg although it's still on break-in and I'm doing weird things like dropping into 3rd or 4th on the highway to bring up there RPMs) 2) it needs a seatbelt presenter |

This is a great thread. I too am on "Scheduled for Production" status with my MY2020.
Quick question - just how small is this fuel tank? Luckily my M2C will be strictly a weekend toy so not really worried about range. But just curious if we're talking like 11-12 gallon capacity? Less? |

Bad:
I don't like the clutch engagement point, it's different from my 16 M3 and previous 17 M2 Exhaust is not loud enough stock even in Sport + and the stock muffler is awful looking Good: S55 engine is awesome, it has a lot of punch even after 4,000 rpm unlike the N55 Adaptive full LED's are super bright |

Pros: #1 solid feel, I'm more confident now this car with care will last 10+ years without constant bullshit items breaking
#2 size is Goldilocks (just right) my twin girls fit just fine in the back Cons: #1 I don't see any lol, little headache is the small tank, I like putting good fuel but if your out of your area and you only have 1/8 of a tank likely just Arabian piss quality station is available, just top-off @ night near home base your preferred station In Maine I had to use a station straight out of "deliverance" no choice, was on fumes some notes: I like the car because it's not a screamer, not many will look twice other than car people, what I'm saying is going to a cvs to pick up a few items your car will be fine when you return not like my brothers corvette (fat nasty broads) always lean on it to take selfies |

Second thread update...
Top Pros: Power/Torque and Handling still leading Pros Good Looking, Aggressive Style but not too Flashy comments are strong Top Cons: Small Gas Tank and Poor Mileage still lead the Cons Brake Dust and Hard to Reach Seat Belt comments are popular No HUD mentioned a lot as well Best Pro: “I’m fortunate enough to own one” omasou Best Con: “I had to paint the exhaust can” ChrisK Interesting Note: Many members who have previously owned multiple M cars, rate the M2C as First or Second in their M car rankings. Most Humorous/Possibly Politically Incorrect: “I like the car because it's not a screamer, not many will look twice other than car people, what I'm saying is going to a cvs to pick up a few items your car will be fine when you return not like my brothers corvette (fat nasty broads) always lean on it to take selfies.” NEfan508 Last edited by natmad; 05-21-2019 at 09:54 AM.. Good:
1. Hardcore BMW feel and balance. 2. Smooth and linear power delivery. There are too many good things about this car. Bad: 1. No HUD. 2. Head turner and attracts idiots to cut you all the time.

Pros:
Perfect blend of old (6MT, small-ish, just a blast to throw around) and new (can be a perfectly civil DD, S55 crazy-wide powerband, so much more). I was contemplating going the small-car, resto-mod route with the $$$ I spent on M2C as seed money. In some sense, I got one but much better Looks. Just awesome in Black Cons: I bought another fucking BLACK car! WTF was I thinking?? But those 10 minutes a month where it's clean it looks So Awesome Brake dust? Small tank...but I'm reaching a bit |

My BMW history started with a 1970 2002, then a 2013 135is, a 2017 M2, and my 2020 M2C which arrived a month ago and now has 1100 miles. Most favorite things: quite simply this is the most fun-to-drive of any car I've ever owned, from the sound it makes when you start it to the rush it gives you on acceleration and the kicks & giggles you get when you drive it on a nice winding road. Least favorite things: too damn much technology but at least most of it can be turned off fairly easily (first thing I did was code off the auto rev match); first gear is too short - you run out of revs almost immediately.

Good things:
6MT S55 torque-will never get boring...flash galore. Great balance in driveability and looks. When I walk away from it, I always look back. M2 brotherhood cult following. Daily praise for LBB color. The M seats are Bdss. No "Bad" things, Nit picky cons: Fuel economy, although long highway trips get 300+ /tank. No AndroidAuto, sorry Siri fans. I did get Spotify to load though, also appointment addresses load automatically to BMW maps. Stupid US spec headlight hardware, VLD ok but no anti-dazzle. Air noise around the windows. Mercedes test drive did the same. Really? How hard could it be to fix this issue! Ok, the low hanging exhaust is annoying but I think the MPerf diffuser helps a lot. Don't notice it much now. Washing compulsion 🙄😀. Last edited by AlpsRider; 05-21-2019 at 12:10 PM.. |
