Full front PPF for $2500 or Ceramic/paint correct for $1250
I'm kind of torn over what to do. I know PPF is great protection white ceramic is mostly like a permanent wax coating that keeps the shine. Which one would you do if you could only do one?
Doing both doesn't make sense, since I'll have the roof wrapped and if the front has ppf already I see no purpose of doing ceramic over PPF. It will not have the shine in the front since it has PPF and will have it on the back...just seems strange. Plan to keep the car for 5 years min, 8 years max. If you could only do one, I would say it depends on how long you plan to keep the car. If long term, then PPF, if short term, then ceramic.
If anything, you could go PPF first and ceramic at a later time if budget allows. |

full ppf for $2500 is a great deal. a couple places around me were quoting $6-7k. I love this car but I'm not spending 10% of sticker price for ppf lol

OP where are you located? Even in California full front PPF doesn't run 2500. It's like 1500-200

I did front PPF and ceramic pro on the entire car. Best decision I've made. I can wash the entire car in 30 minutes with 2 buckets of water. I can't notice a difference in shine from the front to the rear.

I paid $1800 for full front PPF Xpel. Don't do ceramic. Do PPF and buy Carpro Hydr02 Lite and use when washing. Works really well. Then use Bead maker after washes.

100% for PPF.
Do the whole thing if you can. Then you can do drive-thru car washes and scrub off bugs. Stuff is priceless!

PPF....no one has mentioned rock and chip protection, if only up front where it would be worse. Ceramics won't protect from the dreaded chip disease, and what coating you put on will be fine shine for the price but little real protection. Go PPF as above and then even use Griots new 3 in 1 Ceramic spray after claying car, then wait and apply second coat 12-24 hours later. My AW and black storm trooper is as explained, and water rolls off, bugs don't stick with much resistance and it shines like fresh from a street vendor.

PPF.
You can easily ceramic coat at home (and save a ton of money), it’s not that hard, just takes time. PPF on the other hand, would leave that one to the experts. |

PPF for bumper, hood, front fenders, rockers, rear quarters. If you can swing it, do paint correction and something like Opticoat Pro for the entire car. I had this done on my RS3 and i would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Ya that seems pretty high but maybe that's just how it is there? I got several quotes between $1,100-$1,800 and some places didn't do full hood just 1/4 hood, which I didn't want. I knew someone who had their car wrapped at the $1,100 place and was very happy and reviews were good so I went there. Got full hood, full bumper, fenders, and mirror covers. They used Suntek Ultra. Maybe not the best on the market but I was willing to save a few $$.

PPF - most weekend warriors can learn to do ceramic themselves for much cheaper. And the adhesives in PPF will fill in any imperfections negating the need to do paint correction.
