I saw this while taking a tour of the NJ VDC with my local BMW CCA. The carbon was cool and all but it desperately needs to be painted. Not worth the ridiculous price either. The BMWNA parts manager was there. It was interesting to hear him say they highly recommend getting the large bits painted.

The only part that was a concern was the edge of the hood - you could leave everything else unpainted and the pattern will look fine.

Not sure what you mean? Like the pattern of the carbon weave? I was just referring to the visual appeal of it by having so much contrast.

I was referencing the pattern. The contrast is a bit much, and I believe the full concept BMW will show will be fully painted aside from the hood.
