I went to a nearby CarMax and test drove an '18 M2. It was low mileage and the price was right. I almost lest with the car that day but my better judgement told me to sleep on it. Then I got in my M4 and punched it and I knew it would have to be the M2C for me. Called my local dealer the next day and was pleasantly surprised to learn they happened to have an unclaimed M2C that was already sitting in the port. Now I'm temporarily M-less while I await my new ride. I'm so stoked!

I went to the dealer to test drive a used M3, and my buddy that works there suggested I try out the M2C they had in the showroom.
Glad I did, I was immediately sold and mine just got into the country this week. |

As a petite woman it’s important for me to test drive cars to make sure I can get a comfortable seating position. Tried out a GT4 with LWB seats and couldn’t get it close enough to push the clutch in all the way, lol.

I ordered without a test drive, but got lucky that an M Town roadshow came through my dealer this weekend and I finally got a test drive while my car waits for a boat at Bremerhaven.
Read my impressions and see pics of the test car here |

I test drove both OG M2 and the M2C on the same day. Then went with the M2C.
I fully believe in test drive even if it's only 5 minutes. For example: 5 minutes was enough for my wife to dislike the Maserati Levante. Because on a RHD Levante, there was practically not space for you left foot and made her feel discomfort. LHD Levante didn't have this problem. So I double check some NZ reviews on the Levante instead, and sure enough there was another reviewer who complained about the same thing. |

I have a better question...who test drove a M2 or M2C and when finished, said...nah thought it would be better
To answer the question. I was at the dealer testing driving some cars...4 series...nah rear hopped around the corner...then I see a M235Xi with a track package and asked to test drive b/c I thought the car was too small and wanted to confirm...well that car was a hoot. I'm about to order one and the CA say hey you know they're releasing a M2? Ah, no...Sign me up! Two years later they send me an offer to buy a M2C. Sign me up! |

I have a different story, went to the dealer to test drive a ‘17 M2 a few weeks ago. I show up and there is an M2C waiting for me. I figure they sold the ‘17... anyways now I have to order a ‘20 M2C

I drove 2 M2Cs, picked the 2020 over the 2019 for obvious reasons.

I started looking for a new sports car about a year ago. I originally was looking at a Camaro 1LE and side-eyeing the OG/LCI M2s. I sat it the 1LE, and after realizing you can't see out of the thing I talked myself out of it.
I then test drove an M2 I think in June and was a bit underwhelmed by it, but I knew the M2C was coming out and would be fixing all the major things about the M2 that kept me from buying one: Seats, S55 engine, M-Mirrors. |

Did not test drive. Still don’t have our M2C but not really worried it’s going to fit the void we are looking to fill without issue.
Drove a 228 2 years ago around Nurburgring and liked the platform well enough just felt it needed more power. |

Haven't driven a BMW in years. My M2C is waiting for a ship, sadly it's going to beat me to America but I'm looking forward to that first drive when I make it back.

Test drive the m2 while owning a 2018 m3 comp, while my m2c was on order to see if I would accept delivery. The manual transmission felt way more tight and notchier on the m2 and I personally think the m2 looks way better from all angles, handles like a dream.

When it came, my wife, who is a petite woman, tried to drive it and couldn’t get the LWB seats in close enough to push the clutch in all the way so this is the one car she never drives - it just means that we don’t take it for a night on the town because she’s my DD for those times. |

I test drove a no-line 216i. It was amazing and I knew the M2c couldn't be any worse.
