Is it that hard to manually press a button to fold the mirrors when you need to (tight parking ******* leave alone when it's (not needed) If I code it to fold every time I lock the car I'm sure it'll break faster Not an issue if your planing on keeping it for just a few years IMO, just leave it alone PRESS a button when needed |

Bimmercode auto fold mirrors
Has anybody been able to get the auto fold mirrors coding to work? I am using bimmercode on a Canadian car. I coded it as this but no go. Other coding worked ok (like turn off idrive on door open).

There's a comfort close time delay setting somewhere, standard 2.5 secs, try holding lock button on your fob or touching door handle for longer than that, the mirrors should fold.
I reduced time to 0.5 secs as I prefer the choice to fold or not, but if you want you can set to zero so they will always fold. |

Bumping this thread up to ask - can anyone with US Spec confirm if we even have a button to fold the mirrors?
Coding the mirrors to fold/unfold via the key fob is great, but if we don't even have the motors in the mirrors for it to fold, it's a moot point. |

You can, however, adjust the % of tilt in bimmercode, if that sort of thing appeals to you. |

The bimmercode was worth the price of entry just based on disabling the god awful ASD.
The folding mirrors and streaming video to the infotainment screen was added bonus. I also have the puddle lights go on when in reverse so at night you can see the curb when your mirror tilts down (still learning M2 fatass hips in space time). |
