This is the setup that will bring the S55 as close as possible as sounding like the N55.

It’s because the AA Signature Exhaust has the single Midpipe continue all the way to the muffler as a 3.5” tube rather than splitting again into two tubes to connect with stock muffler.

Figured there would be an exhaust in the near future that would sound Deep Lionish like the n55 I loved.

Anyone know what I'm looking for?
I don't thing the m performance exhaust would do it.
Very easy response! The active autowerke signature exhaust is the solution you are looking for. The only exhaust for the S55 that gives it that deep muscle sound you are looking for. The OG M2 has 6 cylinders into a single twin scroll turbo, solid sound similar to B58. S55 is a twin turbo with dual exhaust and AA sig is only exhaust to go dual headers to single huge tube from cat all the way back to muffler. This gets rid of the alternating turbo resonant frequencies and shits it all into one huge pipe out, resulting in a similar but better sound than the OG M2. I see notes about ban_m2c videos, they don't do shit for the sound. They helped me make the decision but a whole diff world once you get it on and drive. Can't recommend it enough. Hope this helps. Let me know if you want more info?
Have you herd the Miltek exhaust on an m2c ? Thoughts?

I test drove one the past week and what a brilliant car. Enjoy what it offers and you will enjoy the exhaust. After all this time I heard and drove one in person and realized all the cry babies are wrong. As usual...

Were you standing outside while it was being driven?

You know that engine noise is fed into the cabin, but its not what the exhaust sound like outside

I'm not wanting to inflame the "S55 sucks" discussion on exhaust sound, nor you, but you did throw nearly this exact response at me when i said I was a fan of the sound.

My response to that would be: given nearly 50% of the M2c section of this board revolves around "but it sounds like shit" and "ASD be gone!", I don't know how, practically, one could avoid the info that there's sound piped in the cabin!

I still don't mind at all how it sounds, from inside, or outside when someone else is driving it. FWIW, there's a LBB M2 just around the corner from me (which always looks totally ass-kicking AWESOME BTW!), and there's no magic coming from the exhaust on that either. It sounds decent for a turbo car. No more, no less.

Again, not trying to start this war for the 500th time, but everyone has their thing

I was in a carpark standing by my car when a lad in an original M2 came past revving the nuts off his car.
It obviously had a different exhaust and possibly down pipes etc, and the noise, to me, was incredibly chavvy.

Whilst I want my M2c to sound a bit better than stock, there’s no way I could stomach the noises these older cars emit.

I had an F Type V8 and even the noise of that grated on me after 6 months...

So in essence, a little more ‘burble’ would be nice, but you can keep the deafening gunshot backfires!

^ Or should I get the Akrapovic if I want my car to vibrate?

I want to make sure I'm not upset with it almost sounding as quiet as stock.
I got my car a week ago and I'm disappointed in the sound not making me feel like it's a True scary Sports Car

Do yourself a favor and pick up the AA midpipe and whatever axelback exhaust you want. The AA midpipe alone changes the exhaust note hands down

I think downpipe will make it louder

Anybody know if putting MPE or other exhaust with controllable flap is controlled from bluetooth device like on m2, or from button on the dash/console etc on a s55 car??

pretty sure they just use the stock valves which don't have their own operation and are simply closed in efficient engine mode and open in sport and sport +
