Agreed thats a good deal, and definitely better than the ~5% deals around here. And always happy to see a 6MT ordered.
Congrats and enjoy!!!

Wow really? I wasnt aware 10% was that big of a discount. I knew it was good but didnt know it was as good as you guys make it seem. I'm kind of last minute debating on something so here it goes.
Selling price 55450 doc fee 85 tax 5275 dmv fee 680 total 61491 Now, because i live in CA where we pay stupid amounts of taxes to fund stupid policies and feed lazy people (sorry for involving politics), the out-the-door price still isnt cheap. I'm contemplating on maybe getting a used one with 3k miles for around 52-53k. The selling price isnt much different from buying new, but i can potentially save some money on taxes, making the otd price around 55k. Would you guys pay 55k for a used 2020 with 3k miles or 61500 for a brand new order? New car is great, but 6500 is still 6500... What do you guys think? |

For 6500, I'd do new but I've ED has been on my bucket list forever. Now if that spreads to 10K...what's the price of a dream?

Oh, so you are from Oregon telling a Californian to move. I guess the best place to go would be to Oregon since there is no sales tax, right? We should all move there is that what Oregonians want?

Good points, my track record of keeping cars for a long time is horrible. However I plan on and will try to keep the M2C for 5 years at a minimum. I sold my 2018 M2 because I couldn't stand the underwhelming engine and the dct. Otherwise the car was PERFECT. M2C addresses every complaint I had so I think this will turn out fine.
I've been to Oregon twice and while I do like the place a lot I love CA. Even tho we have crazy high fees, taxes, living costs, traffic, pollution, parking nightmares, terrible roads, frustrating policies, lawsuit-happy, hipsters, hippies, liberals, traffic, and traffic, I still love it. Hah..... Thanks for your input fellas, I have decided to purchase new. Cheers. Thanks |

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I'm also in the same position. I have the opportunity to buy a 2019 M2C with around 10k miles for around $53-54k or do I wait 6 months (to save up a bit more because I'm old skool) and then buy new. I'm curious O Haiii what actually led you to decide to buy new in the end?
I've been watching the market though and I see M2C's are selling on pretty quickly when priced around $52-54k so clearly enough other people don't want to wait and are buying at close to those prices... KBB etc. values 2019/2020 M2C's even higher... |

i decided to buy new because buying a new 2020 was only $1,500 difference from buying a used 2019. Buying a used 2019 makes sense if the seller is willing to write down a lower selling price on the title, saving you money on taxes.

6 speed manual, Exec Package & Moonroof. However, while I thought we were getting close to the numbers above, the dealer has just wound it back which actually makes the decision easier to just buy new instead... I feel like anyone paying above $54k for a 2019 M2C is going for convenience and the ease of getting the car now vs. waiting...

A lot of heavy discounts for M2 Comps these days. Can someone negotiate more than 10% off if purchasing via European Delivery? With the M2 being such a great bargain almost makes no sense paying full msrp for an M2 CS unless you have cash to burn.

The West Coast isn't dealing the way the east coast is right now. However socal is always competitive and maybe with the massive drop in demand due to the coronavirus you can try to get a deal. But ED is always undesirable for dealers and you will be hard pressed to find one that'll slash prices that much.

I think if you find the right dealer it's possible to get an extra discount on a ED.
I bought my old M235i before the M2 came out. It was still a hot car at that time. I was able to get the then 7% (now 5%) ED discount plus an extra 6.5% for a total 13.5% off of MSRP. It can happen and I wouldn't be surprised if the the buying climate is headed into discount land. |

Do you mind sharing what dealer? I am in Denver, looking to buy one. Wouldn't mind taking a ride from Cali back to CO for a good deal. Not getting anywhere near 10% here.
