For those of you waiting and you have made it into production status, turns out the tracker may not actually inform you of next steps until it's actually done. In other words, refreshing the page may not actually reveal the steps in between "done". You may find however, that one day, your car is complete and awaiting transport.
Bummer Bimmer.

The person on the phone said they don't get a vin until production is complete. Unsure if this is true, but goes along with what's mentioned above.

The VIN is issued at the beginning of production, when it hits status 151 IIRC.

Two weeks and my order hasn't moved past Step 1 !*@%!#! Allowing me more time than I should have to stew over wheel selection .. those gold wheels posted by others picking up their cars look prettay, prettay, ...... prettay tempting.

I wonder if it is MB color cars getting bumped up. It would make sense to me if you had a large run of the same color. My week 41 got pushed to 42???
Edit: Charlotte Northlake got a CS build slot. I wonder if they still have theirs?

Update, allegedly my production date is estimated as Oct 2nd (tomorrow) according to BMW NA rep, there is a chance since its been in production since Sept 21, that is done, the system has not shown an update on status and they expect to see something on Monday in the systems. We'll see.

I wonder if it is cars with the CCB's. I have steelies and MB and no progress. Genius told me early this week that completion would be 10/12-10/16.

Mine is BSM and non-CCB...my SA emailed me to let me know it switched to 150 with a VIN yesterday. I’m a Canadian order but was scheduled for week 41 so I guess a bit ahead of schedule. So colour and brake selection may not be a factor.
