F87 OG M2, M2 LCI, M2C and M2 CS = 19" front (245/35 R19) + 19" rear (265/35 R19).
No way that the M2 CS comes standard with 20" rear. That's almost certainly a typo left in the text from the M4 GTS, M4 CS or M3 CS tire waiver. See for example also MY20 M2 Product Guide Canada (including M2 CS data) (effective Jan 1, 2020): here (PDF) or here (website).

Wish I had that option when I purchased my M3CS.

295 on a 10" wheel? Thats gonna slip so much under heavy and agressive driving ngl. 275/35 looks pretty good already on the stock wheels

On daily driving it is a huge improvement, looks ten fold better, and the only downside has been increased hydroplaning when there is a lot of rain/water in the streets. I'm taking the pros over the cons any day.... its improvement in performance and aesthetically wise outweighs the increase of hydroplaning and slight increase of understeer when pushing it hard in tight corners at the track.

Ditto. Although the MPSS that it came with only lasted a few track days, it would have been nice to use what the car was tuned with for awhile before getting new rubber. I agree with the general consensus in the thread. Cup2's are a good street/track tire but you are probably better off with a separate track setup with NT01 or RE71R etc and MPS4S for the street/track. With Cup2's you gain about two second per two min lap over the MPSS.

Well I'm not surprised the average consumer in 2020, given all the knowledge that the internet brings..... is an idiot. I would get so many complaints while working at a dlr about the normal pilot sports and people trying to use them in the cold, rain, etc etc. I'm glad they are doing this.

Cup 2 tires are cool, but I'll prefer a tire that can handle both wet and dry since it's still a street/track car. 4S will be a good replacement

I'm sharing from what I have experienced-
My 2020 M2C- I just had my car setup with M-Performance suspension along with corner balancing. They spent about good 2 days dialing everting in for me. I have all the print outs of before and after of my stock vs MP. My car has the stock comp wheels with stock tires- Keep in mind my car just hit 589miles. The difference is like night and day- Before the car felt like is was riding on top of the tires and the damping was just there to keep thing's smooth. The car is now putting down 26lbs of force per tire after the corner balancing. After having the suspension dialed-in I never see the need to go with wider tires. The car feels so connected wide and flat now that- I feel 265/245 is the perfect fit. I would highly recommend before you go trying to squeeze bigger tires- to get your cars suspension dialed -in first. I can now feel the tires are evenly flat and making full contact with the road. I never see any need to go bigger then what BMW has tested and sized this this car. |

I had Cup 2s on my M2 that I daily'd in the winter. I actually enjoyed the loss of traction as it was predictable and progressive, allowing me to have some small angle oversteer at safe speeds, making daily driving in the winter more fun But I also have a lot of track experience and a certain risk tolerance. I would not recommend Cup 2s as a daily for a novice.

In a litigious country like the US, if it came with slippery tires, I'm pretty sure a disclaimer was buried somewhere in the paperwork. I met someone who bought a Dodge Demon, that came with 315-width Nitto NT05R drag radials, stock but he couldn't remember signing a disclaimer either.. Yet, here it is: |
