Poll: Will You Accept an M2 CS Allocation?
I have an OG M2 (6 speed), which I still really love! Fabspeed, Remus exhaust, and Dinan HAS is a great combo. The sound is intoxicating. I will likely get an M2 CS allocation. I'm sure M2 CS will be awesome, but I'm really having trouble justifying the USD 83.6k price tag as most of it is for carbon fiber and limited numbers. Those of you that own or owned an M2 or M2 Comp, would you take an M2 CS allocation at MSRP? Please cast your votes.

I'm not sure I would say it's going to be a masterpiece, but it ticks all my boxes for a bone stock car. I plan to accept my allocation should it be presented. I have no intention of modding any car that I end up with.

I had an allocation and passed when I saw the price. For that type of money I'm in 911 territory.

Base 911 territory only. Definitely not S or above territory. A Carrera S with reasonable options is at least $130k or more. Whereas a M2 CS without the carbon ceramic brakes is under $90k.

Coming from a M240 to a M2C or a CS is a huge step up. Just think I would regret not going for the CS. Would get a C and do some mods not be far off the cost of a CS. The CS is all factory and I like that. You never get good value for mods often just makes the car easier to sell. Also I just don’t want to mod any more. I’m in for aM2CS.

@Mastertec @Hegge
This really sums it up. I'm not going to compare a new CS to a used 991 or 992. New to New the cost differential doesn't compare, and there is a big loss of utility. For those that are no longer interested in modding/tuning we want to try to get the hottest factory version possible. Preliminary track numbers show that the CS is on point. Those that like modding are likely better served getting a C unless money is not a concern. That said, a big negative of the M2 has been the interior and I like that the CS addresses some of this. It's still outdated, but at least has a bit of an upgrade with the leather. The cheap look of the plastic where the seat adjustments are located make me lol and cringe, but I'll never be looking at it. Glad to have another CS thread to keep me entertained. The news has been non existent in the last couple of weeks. |

I'd get one if I could afford it, but even then it would be hard to justify over something nicer like a Porsche. I'd rather mod an M2C to be honest.

When the OG M2 was coming out, people were happy to pay MSRP because there was nothing else like it and some dealers were asking for a markup. That situation has changed. For instance, this forum seems to suggest that European dealers may be offering a discount on the M2 CS. I wonder whether the soft interest is global? If so, is it a crazy idea to ask for a discount on a US dealer's M2 CS allocation?

Loyalty is available in Canada. Only $1000. That buys a fair bit of gas for driving enjoyment.
I looked at the GT4 and would love one. But that’s a whole other league.Up here it starts at $113000. Well equipped $130000. It’s not without flaws just like the C and CS. Sure the best value is the M2C but I just want a little more. |

I think going from the OG M2 to an M2 CS with the 79 horsepower increase will be a new experience. Plus the adaptive suspension and lightweight components will help.
When are reviews coming out? April? |

Do press cars get sent out before customer deliveries? I've read that deliveries start in April, but I can only find May being confirmed by someone that has an order placed.

Passed on my allocation. No color offered that I could live with and they wouldn't allow me to change it. Went to another brand. Bye BMW.
