Oh my..445 HP from the factory?
So this means aftermarket add-ons could easily get the powerplant to at or above 500 HP with a simple tune, exhaust, intake, pulley, etc. ?? Gosh, when will it end?...there's so much horsepower available from automakers... it's awesome, don't get me wrong...but I dunno....a small car like an M2 with super high HP and and high torque as well...it's a lot for a small(ish) frame like the M2

Cant help feel a bit bad for all the M2C owners. If I had one I would be pretty mad. Good for BMW for making this, but it sure is soon after M2C owners collect theirs...
Will M2CS owners collect theirs then a CSL version come out lol |

M4 Comp owners for example I don't think felt bad with the M4CS release. In the UK market it was almost a 50% premium up on the Comp price. Plus M2C owners always knew this was coming so I doubt it's hurting much. (I'm not an M2C owner being defensive by the way, just my $0.02 on what I've observed in the UK from CS releases).

Still, I can imagine those who aren't following these forums as closely as us would find this a bit of surprise. Edit: On a side note, not sure if I'm mixing you up with someone else, but did you recently take delivery of an Azurite Black M car in Chester? Seems to ring a bell and thought I saw it a few times when I was living there recently? Last edited by AD18; 02-26-2019 at 10:21 AM.. |

I can't see this being in the 60s or even 70s, but one can hope...

I would seriously trade my M3 CS for this. It's the real M3 we've been waiting for. If it's lighter than an M2C by even 100 lbs I'm sold.

That’s exactly what will happen, then after the CSL it will be the next gen to start all over
So many guys on this forum are so insecure and constantly need to have the next best thing, BMW marketing team is doing a great job at exploiting it! |

reason...
individual color and interior options would make this a game changer....otherwise, meh.
my predictions: $75k USD sticker for a stripper, limited production, significant dealer markups, another 100lbs heavier than the M2C even with the new CF bits, shaves a tenth of a second off 0-60, two tenths of 1/4 mile, ambiguous results with regard to track time comparisons. PS- it looks like they've managed to do nothing with muffler except make it look more obnoxious. |

As a 'salty' owner, a carbon roof would be cool but it'd offer no real benefit for me. A tune cancels out the HP increase (I'll be happy to try that map out via bootmod). Don't need carbon ceramics for street duty.
For track racers, they have to pay extra for CCB and I'm not even sure if the rest of the list is worth it. Weight would be the biggest reason. *cries into car that I'll never push to its limits*

Anyway on topic, what does a CF roof bring us. $$$$ for 5kgs less? On a car that's no Lotus Elise either....
The front needs less weight in M2C. Not the roof or the panels,boot/trunk, so probably a CF hood/bonnet would be my first thing to do. If..... Cheers Robin |

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the price for this car will end up over $70k with dealer markup. That's GS vette, Camaro ZL1 territory pricing. You could also save $10K by getting a gt350, with 526 HP.
Specs look good on paper nonetheless! Manual option makes it even better. Just really curious on the final MSRP for the M2 CS...
