It will be epic indeed.

Until Car & Driver chimes in of course...

Why would that worry you? People are getting great deals on the M3 cs right now and will get great deals on the M2 cs if they price them too high and they sit. The market speaks and bmw adjusts accordingly.

This is awesome. Should make for decent deals on used M2 competitions, which I'll be interested in. This thing will MSRP in the 70s I think. No way it prices below a base M4, imo.

So this comes from fairly reliable sources yes?

I guess this means CSL idea is dead (even though it was rumoured for European markets?)

Still a tempting package...albeit I was hoping I could hold out for roll cage and some light weight parts...

The CCB on an M4 is an 8200 option.

Add also 763M wheels seen on the mule, add carbon roof.

68 would be a deal, so don't think so. You have to add the low volume % tax.
Carbon Ceramic Brakes. That's interestingly cool.

So considering the car is still heavy and it has the same s55 tech what differentiates it compared to m3 zcp besides the shorter chassis? Can't seem to justify hypothetical 20k price diff compared to pre-owned f80 zcp. Also, s58 is around the corner.

Great.

The M4 ZCP treatment from 4 years ago minus the carbon fiber driveshaft.

So ynguldyn, is the dummy button gonna stay on board on the center console in M2 CS Land or does BMW M 'adapt' ?

Soooo... $75-80k base? I would assume CF add ons are included given the test mules, and ceramic brakes probably another $6k. I'm surprised it will have options for 6MT and Misano Blue. That's a great color. Could M2 CS and G80 Pure be a swan song for the BMW 6MT?

Get 'em while they're hot gents! At least that's what BMW wants you to do. Never mind that they are on the "every 2 years bring out a better version of the same car" plan.

Here we go again. Good luck with that. Much more than a warranty voiding tune and carbon fiber "bits" go into a CS. For example a $4,000 CFRP bonnet and light weight CS specific wheels just to name two. An aftermarket modded M2 Comp is not a factory CS sorry.

Interesting.

± 445 hp (mechanical) = ± 450 hp (metric).

So the M2 CS will have a power output of at least 450hp.

Are you sure about that? Unless they show a lot of structural chassis upgrades they are simply throwing the bin parts at the car.

Same engine.. tune it and you are at more power. You can source all the carbon bits and go all in with CCB also like many people have done already on the M2 and the Competition.

If you want the exclusive CS badge for the extra 20% go for it.

Like I said, if priced well as a package it will sell and I would even consider, if its just the premium I will build my own.

Has the carbon hood been confirmed to be standard? Says roof only so far.

Maybe. But I don't think it's going to be "priced right" if the M3 CS is any indication. MSRP on that model was painful I agree. Somebody above mentioned a hopeful $68,000 for the M2 CS . If BMW slapped a $ 104k MSRP on the 2018 M3 CS I cant see them pricing the 2019 M2 CS 35k less. Would be nice but....
