An argument for your point is that I prefer to have as much data as possible so that I can look for correlation between changes and what might cause those changes. I too would prefer theses gauges or at least access to the data via the idrive system. |

The CS has better suspension, as in electronic dampers, which more than likely, handles and brake better but everything else mechanically is the same as the Competition. Honestly, if I had the scratch, I would get a CS for two reasons; one, I've had a vehicles from the last 3 generations of BMWs and I'm just in love with specifically the F-Series 2 Series platform, the M2 CS represents the apex predator of that food chain, so which fan wouldn't want to own the best that they have to offer. Plus, it can be had with a true, three pedal manual, which is divine in a 2020 model year. RWD, TwinTurbo, I6, LSD is pure automotive bliss and is something that would surely be appreciate, in the future. |

Does anyone knows how BMW decide their allocations for the M2CS? Per demand maybe ? Or its the dealers job to know how many they will get?

In the US they don't seem to know until the allocations get distributed. My SA says it has a lot to do with dealership history on special models, and possibly M car throughput. Might be why my dealership continues to keep the M4CS in stock. My SA assumes they will get a M2CS based upon their history with M4 GTS, but it isn't a certainty. I believe the waiting list at my dealership is 15 deep for the CS. I would imagine that they might get two.
So no, I don't know, but that's the info I've received on how allocations work. |

1) Country decision, is it coming (eg to UK)? 2) If yes proceed, how many? 3) How many is then split between dealers based on M model sales and history in special model sales 4) Now at the dealer level they know how many cars they are getting. 5) UK and many places then seem to honour the first come first serve approach. 6) Customer contacted to advice good news, you're in firm up the order etc I see here in Bimmerpost that some regions and specific dealers don't play quite as fair around step 5) replaced with 5) Advertise for sale in dealership at MSRP + [insert obscene mark up] Chris

Does anyone knows when the European production for the CS ends ? Saw something here but not sure if its September 2020. Maybe Artemis knows something about it , of course there might be some delays from the virus , but who knows , at least if September was true we can guesstimate !

M2 end of production (EOP) - start of production (SOP): Quote:

BMW depends upon a network of over 100 auto parts suppliers from all over the globe (see here). Because of imposed COVID-19 crisis measures getting tighter, the supply chain of all car manufacturers inevitably got disrupted. Several announced to suspend production. For example, on March 18, 2020 BMW announced to interrupt production until April 19, 2020 (end of the Easter vacation) (see here). And this extension could be merely a first step, rather than a final step (possibility of further extension depending on the COVID-19 crisis situation development + new situation of suppliers). A production stop this size and the uncertainty of near future prospects, is (also) a logistic nightmare. As everyone with a job or business, for sure also lots of teams at car manufacturers scramble to discuss the sake of all existing time schedules (maintain, modify, postpone or shelve projects). With the unknown parameter of knowing the exact timing of normalization. Exceptional circumstances require exceptional measures. Production of the F82 M4 CS ended last month and end of production of the F82 M4 is scheduled for June 2020. BMW production in Europe and South Africa is now interrupted till 19 April 2020. Depending on the further evolution of the COVID-19 crisis and global economic recession, the production interruption period could be extended, of course (IMHO in a month we will look back to today with the thought that we did not fathom the magnitude of the nightmare awaiting us). If production interruption is extended till the end of June, the F82 M4 production is in principle dusted and done as we speak, except if BMW decides to extend the EOP. But the G80 M3 and G82 M4 are waiting behind the corner (November 2020, if not rescheduled). No info as to what BMW plans to do with the M2 CS. I know someone who ordered an M2 CS, scheduled for April 2020 production, who got notified last week by his dealer that production of his M2 CS has been postponed for an indefinite period of time. IMHO the possibility that BMW shelves the M2 CS is unrealistic (too late, too expensive and too prejudicial to cancel). I also consider it unlikely that BMW reduces the scheduled (profitable) 2200 quantity. I consider it more likely that BMW extends the initial EOP for the M2 CS (September 2020 for EUR-spec - December 2020 for the US-spec) to June 2021, which is EOP of the M2C. IMHO that would make sense.

I like the color, but this is not a spoiler. I agree about the exhaust pipes, we could already put carbon fiber there. Well, in general, the price is not very hidden, but quite understandable, it is clear who dictates the conditions on the market.
