Could we see this CSL by the end of this year? The M4 gts came in pretty quick as did the e92 gts.

"In 2016 BMW M will provide its first look at concepts of two models which will wear the CSL badge"Let's assume for a moment that one of those two concepts is the M4 CSL.

What do you guys think will be I ncluded/upgraded in the M2 CSL? Will it basically be an M4 in an M2 body with the additions including things like CF hood, roof and driveshaft? S55, better seats and other M4 upgrades to shave a couple hundred lbs.? If so, should the price be much more than an M4 or do you think other special parts will be added?

Price it something around 1-5 - 1.75 times the base price of the M2 so that means around 75-85k which comes in about 50k less than the M4 GTS. |

Nice to have a guaranteed residual but I think it will be lower than market. Might want to buy and see how CSL pans out. Then there are no time constraints. Definitely do not want to lease 3 yrs and worry about terminating that early for CSL delivery. But then again, the lease is nice and easy with no upfront capital in the form of a large down payment to keep monthly reasonable. Decisions! All I can say is if you're at least somewhat interested in the CSL, go put down your $500 to be the first and guarantee yours.

It'll be a spin off of this, IMO. The rear wing, integrated with the roof line, might be a bit more pronounced. As would be some side scoops. I just don't see them spending a lot of money designing a CSL from scratch when they have the essential design ideas already in production. Just a guess.

Do it , BMW!!! All I ask for, in addition to the above, is a proper hood line and I get to pick the color for $5k. |

I guess it depends on what they give us. If it's more like an M4 in an M2 body and/or what you listed it should be in the 70's. If it's an all new platform/tech, 500lbs weight savings hybrid it could be double...but I doubt it.

The M3 GTS is aimed squarely at the 911 GT3 and no reason not to aim an M2 CSL right for the Cayman. I would anticipate 79k and maybe ceramic brakes as an option and that would be around 86k. I do think 100k would be a bit much. |

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum. Came across this thread over the weekend while searching online for info relating to the M2 CSL.
I've been onto my dealer this morning to find out if it'd be possible to put down a deposit on...well...effectively something that doesn't exist and they did laugh at me. Something good that came out of it though was that they contacted BMW UK to find out more and the reply from BMW UK was that the M2 CSL was just a 'rumour' on the internet and BMW had no plans to build such a car. How many times have we heard that before. |
