Fair enough, perhaps I am too harsh. I do get the feel that a number of people in the CS section are just in it to flip though.

I think it's strange that the M2 doesn't get enough chatter out in the wild. I feel it's due to the car's marketing (or lack of). Occasionally a stranger will stop to chat during my daily fill up and say something to the effect of "nice M3!" I'll correct them or they'll correct themselves once they see the badge and the follow up is usually "I didn't know they made an M2!"

In a few years we'll likely see a revival of the platform as more of them hit the used market and the general community will appreciate the potency of these cars even more!

I get plenty of gawkers with Sunset Orange, in the midwest where seeing any M car at all is rare!

Love it when I get this, it’s just funny. Can’t blame em. It looks like a modern E46 M3 to anyone not hooked on carcaine.
