Realoem no longer being updated?

If Realoem is only showing cars upto 2019 it seems that it's no longer being updated.

Does anyone know an alternative source for parts info for newer G series m cars ?

You're going to have to get the bmw etk software, and then update it every time a new version is released.

There are sources on this forum that will be able to help you out google bmw etk bimmerpost and look through the threads to find the people who have the repositories for it. Bimmerfest is another place that has alot of these bmw tools.

is there a reason they can't update the site? I also noticed the repair manuals were pulled from newtis (I think that's the correct spelling) probably due to BMW

Yes newtis was shut down because they want people to pay for the repair documents, so just get ista it's way better than newtis anyways.

For the etk idk why realoem isn't updating. It wouldn't make sense for bmw to shut them down because real OEM would be generating bmw money from people looking for parts to buy. So I really don't see why bmw would shut them down.

BMW does weird thanks like all OEMs these days so it's hard to say assuming they did. I think all of these resources should be available easily for anyone to view. The car community, especially BMW is the largest/most knowledgeable out there in terms of non-domestic brands. I'll have to look since it's been a while

Yeah I agree all this data should be out there and bmw shouldn't lock their ecus. But that's not how things are since there are still a huge amount of bmw owners that don't know what they're doing and mess up their cars and try to bring it back to bmw for a free repair. So I understand why bmw is starting to make it harder for people to work on these cars.

right to repair still exists but yes people can always do dumb things. I would say it's worse in th domestic crowd, I've seen some really crazy things happen. Hopefully resources will still available for everyone.
