Yeah this is definitely the easiest and fastest way to deal with it when it happens.

I also had this happen to me. The first time it happened the car had around 2000km. The second time it happened the car had around 20000km. I just take off from 2nd instead of trying to get it in 1st.

2018 LCI, 10 months old with 23000km. No other issues

This is my 8th manual sport car in the past 10 years and all of them has had this happen, but very rarely so its normal.

When taking off at the lights, clutch in shift to first but shift lever only goes in halfway. Simply shift back to neutral, let off the clutch fully and then step on the clutch again, shift to first and away you go.

Just get use to it so when it happens you know what to do immediately
