M2C Performance Brake available from March ´19

Hi guys,

i got an information from BMW M in Garching that from production late March 2019 the (for EU) optional sport brake 2NH should be available again.

So the wait is (soon) finally over.

When will the kit be available for M Performance? The red one?

As stated in different threads here, the red M Performance version is exactly the same as the grey optional 2NH for the M2C - just as aftermarket version.
So i guess the availability will be the same for those too, but i dont have exact information for this.

I just cross checked with my dealer and BMW M about the grey 2NH because i take delivery end of may.

I guess:
US/Can have standard 2NH brakes(no blue brake option) and demand was a bit high to begin with so BMW reasoned it's better to get 2NH out of the optionslist in Germany from oct'18(?) on to supply US /Can first and make supplies smoother: which meant blue brake EU/UK M2C were also delivered much faster as a side effect.

Cheers
Robin

There's a lot of threads about it, but essentially no 2NH orders have been taken by the factory from the UK (and other places) since mid August 2018 due to global lack of supply of brake kits.

I dropped it from my early September order in order to get the car "some time before spring/summer 2019". The car came in late October.

Best choice I made, the standard brakes look great, work great too. No concerns....

I am currently waiting for my 2NH order, currently scheduled for week 5 production.

Fingers crossed if it won’t be further delayed.
