How to clean 788 wheels

How are you all cleaning your wheels beside removing from the car and cleaning?

What type of brush and cleaner are good for this wheel?

+1 for Sonax. I use their Wheel Cleaner Plus product, works really well.

I have used numerous wheel cleaners including Sonax, which is good, but I really like TUGA wheel cleaner. It clings to the wheel surface better since is almost a gel like liquid. This allows it to break down iron particles better in my experience.

As for brushes:
microfiber madness flat incredibrush

EZ detail brushes in large and small

In my opinion these at the minimum will allow you to reach most of the hard to reach places.

The best way I have found so far is to remove them and replace with the 437m wheel....

How do you guys use it exactly? It doesn't quite work for me somehow, although I read many good reviews about it

Shake it up well and spray it on cool, dry wheels. I let it set for a couple minutes, then scrub the wheel with a mitt and brushes to get behind the spokes and in the barrel of the wheel. After that, spray them off with water. I just use my hose on the jet setting, but a pressure washer works well too. I usually hit them with compressed air immediately after cleaning to mitigate the rusty rotor look as best as I can.

It's also worth noting that I have CQuartz on my wheels, which makes them pretty easy to clean even without using Sonax.

Different wheels but pretty much the same as has been stated. I usually wash with soap and water. Then, On a cool & mostly dry wheel, I spray on Sonax and let it sit for 5 min or so. Scrub with a soft brush, repeat if necessary.

How well it works will depend on the type of contamination. If it is brake dust/iron, Sonax works well. Other types of dirt, not as well.

There have been times when I have also needed to use a tar remover on my wheels after using Sonax.
