Everyone has it, just a consequence of the process. I am not sure if it has any relation to clearcoat thickness but I have heard that rumor.

The paints are a water based paint. It's a part of the current process. It used to be that orange peel look came from incorrect application, and some folks still point it out as a " paint flaw " even though cars haven't been hand painted on an assembly line for decades.

Black on the M2C is going to look amazing. People say it hides the lines, I have no idea what they are talking about? I owned a BSM OG M2 it absolutely showed the lines, the entire F8xx platform has really shined in BSM, but with the M-mirrors and the new grilles, it will be even more pronounced. See BSM a couple mins in on this vid, mean looking.

I've always selected Sapphire Black Metallic over the free "Jet Black" for my last 3 built to orders..

Nothing looks more rich yet sporty that a black BMW.. And I have one with coral red seats..

The only "bad" thing about black is it drown out the carbon fiber pieces that you spent all the money for.. But whatever, that's just for me anyways..

I'm going to get this car in BSM but I'm a little disappointed that there's no option for red seats, I mean they have fabric right there sitting in factory, throw it on for me..

Let's see what the aftermarket is going do with it..

Coral (red) is such a classic sporty interior. It has caught on and even the Asian imports now have red interior. Too bad BMW isn't throwing us a bone on that one.
