As @BlackJetE90 pointed out, that's not how you calculate pricing in different countries. You should focus on the percentage increase just to get a rough idea on the potential price increase in a different country.
Agree. Even the percent difference does not necessarily translate and there are individual market realities that are being addressed in this change. I have seen (unconfirmed) percentage increases from 2% to 9% posted so far, depending on the country.

Correct and that's mainly because the standard equipment varies depending on the country. The highest price increase we have seen so far is 9% in Canada and it's almost for a fully loaded car that comes with standard upgraded seats, new wheels, adaptive LED headlights, bigger brakes etc. The countries that get 3-5% increase usually have a larger option list.

...depending on the country and said standard options for each country.

Thanks, but my price estimation was just out of curiosity. I don't intend to change car right now, as I'm very happy with my 6 months old LCI. And if I wanted the M2C, I would not buy it in Belgium, instead I would buy a demo version with low mileage in a BMW garage in Germany, once the dealers will be well supplied. This is how I got a 18% discount on my car, with a 2000kms mileage. Or, depending on the pounds/euro exchange rate, I would buy a new one imported from England (a LHD version, obviously): https://www.bmwtaxfree.co.uk/export-...n=introduction

That's a very good strategy. Tried & true

My 9% for Canada was calculated after correcting for different standard equipment and options. It was apples to apples (or as close as I could get).

How is it apples to apples? Please show us your calculation. Just curious how you accounted for the BBK, new forged wheels, and sport seats.

I just built a 2018 M2 on BMW Canada's website:

- AW with 6MT
- Apple CarPlay (standard on M2C, costs $750 for M2)
- Adaptive LED headlights (standard on M2C, costs $1000 for M2)

Total Price: $66,950

Let's do the similar calculation for M2C (even though I would never opt for the smoker's package, storage package or speed limit info, I'm adding these too just because they were standard on 2018 M2):

- 6MT with no cost color (AW)
- Storage Compartment Package (standard on M2, costs $350 for M2C)
- HK Sound System (standard on M2, costs $1000 for M2C)
- Speed limit info (standard on M2, costs $300 for M2C)

Total Price: $72,900

The price increase is $6K or 8%; however, M2C still has BBK, new wheels, and seats included in that price. Therefore, it's still not an apples-to-apples comparison.

The Soviet Union never had VAT, sales tax or the like. I’m afraid these are capitalist inventions, where the greedy corrupt bourgeoisie preys on the working class.

+8% would put a US M2C at $58,860(with new seats, 788m wheels, 2NH brakes, adaptive led, carplay, pdc).

Yes, and the offer on the picture is only the 'standard' M2. I have asked for the dealer again this morning, prices in the Netherlands will be available by the end of the May, due the stupid idiot CO2 tax and all the other taxes ...

Fair enough! I personally prefer to lease, simply to optimize cashflow, but it's definitely a good strategy indeed.
Enjoy your M2 in good health. I'm jealous that you have it already

I paid my 2017 M2 DCT 59.000 € fully loaded (everything except sunroof and electric seats because I'm quite tall).

Switching to the M2 C would be at least 10 to 15k more expensive !

To be added: higher taxes because higher CO2 emissions for the M2C (S55) when compared to the M2 (N55). Increased 'avantage tout nature' for those who drive a company car. And the M2C also got a slightly higher fuel consumption.
