I think the Canadian m2 LCI packaging was different from US as we got more stuff as standard.
Only really had a few options: Adaptive LED, DCT, sunroof, Apple CarPlay.

Kinda what I was eluding to. Packages are different country to country.

Heres what I wrote in the other thread:

Quote:
Its hard to do that math with CAN and US packages being so different.

Its like getting some of current US exec pack, Carplay, M sport brakes, M sport seats, 788M wheels...for 54,500 + 9% = 59,405 (all that under $60k!)

Although, I don't think the US will get new options standard. My guess is a smaller price increase, with new additions as optional.

Yea, with all the information coming out, it seems like the US pricing would have been leaked by now.

Seems right in line with how the MY18 pricing came out. IIRC Canadian pricing was released a week before US.

I realize it comes with the S55 engine but it's now a lot more money in Canada than an RS3 and AMG CLA 45.

Wait for the reviews.

IMHO, the RS3 and AMG CLA45 are not even in the same league.

I would hope so seeing the M2C is now priced in a different league. It better be quicker than BMW’s press clippings state because an RS3 is faster in a straight line.

RS3 is always going to slay in Canada. It's infinitely more all weather capable, comes far better equipped and is much cheaper.

This isn't merely a straight-line type of car though!

Straight lines? I don't live my life in straight lines.

I can find a juiced Honda that will destroy almost anything in a straight line.

The one that compares a RS3 with a M2 hasn't really understood the difference between both...

Fast in a straight-line shopping trolley VS a driver's car...

Replace the RS3 with M2 and M2 with Cayman in the above statement and I can see this statement being on Rennlist.

They're all different cars and excel at different things.

I think it's some people here that don't understand that we get a better version of the RS3 here. The RS3 we get in North America with the optional staggered wheels/tires is actually pretty capable. It's handling is improved over the European 5 door. No AWD car is going to handle like a properly set up RWD car but the RS3 is now pretty capable.

It's mainly ignorance as seen above, and you have to remember of course this is the M2 board. The newest RS3 is a seriously capable machine.
