Or smarter than the average Joe.

Average millennial still lives with the rents.

And drives a nicer car then their parents do, instead of paying rent.

Yeah, really smart investing in a depreciating asset before you can even afford your own place.

Age does not matter. Only buy the damn thing if you can afford it. No rents. No loans. Live in your own house (not a rental)

Take care of the important things first. Cars are not that important.

I'm two years from 80 and like Carroll Shelby, I'll be a car nut 'til they put me away forever. I go to the track a couple of times a year and enjoy the hell out of it. The M2 is one of the most fun cars I've ever owned.

You’ll inherit the house eventually anyways

Not me, but I know quite a few people around Toronto area (very high cost housing) that live with parents well into 30s and 40s.

We pick up our 2020 M2C in Munich on Sept 4. Plan to spend my 70th birthday driving the passes. Manual transmission of course!

That is mostly down to the cost of the car. In general younger people have less money to spend and want a cheaper car. It is also smaller and that might be problem for older people (30+) that might have a family etc.
Older people remember when cars were smaller though.

I rent and I bought the car because housing is too expensive here to buy, but cars cost the same. I can afford to buy a home cash pretty much anywhere I want besides this market. Saving doesn't help me buy here because the homes appreciate faster than I can save where I live. If I stretched to buy I would have to sell all my investment and all my eggs would be in one basket which seems too risky.

I wouldn't even consider living in a house here less than 1.5m Everything less than that is a dump. I make a good salary though relative to most in the US, and I'm a good saver. Either I'll move and easily afford a nice home or my GF will cash out we'll get married and be able to afford what we want.
