Looks like a fun day at the track. Wonder what a GT4 would do, same day, same driver.

The tires could have made the difference, but... The driver was fighting traction limits in the Porsche the whole lap. But 1.3 secs in a 90 second lap is a lot.

That's a much better driving on track perspective over Shmees one. He is really getting on the throttle with good driving technique.

He struggled a bit with car control with the GTS, lost time in a couple of places. But this is way better for me than Schmee's clip...

Is GTS 4.0 manual + M2C PDK (not CS) a good two-car combo?

This is a great track perspective of the CS. Driver has some skill in the video!

So many variables in this sort of "comparison". They are fun but not very meaningful.

Agree. P Zero are not very good on track. I wish both cars had MPSC2. From experience on that length of track, the cup 2s would make the Porsche at least 2 seconds faster. At least.

Agreed. P-Zeros vs Sport Cup 2 is an enormous difference. Comparing my personal experiences with P-Zeros vs MP4Ss, the Michelin is a huge improvement, and Sport Cup 2s are on a whole other level than PS4Ss. And yeah, he seemed like he was lacking grip for a lot of that video—every time he's sliding is lost time. I wouldn't be surprised if the tires could more than remove the gap.

agreed. What an amazing driver, no hand panic at all each time, controlled slide into as smooth back on throttle as possible.

This is a good automotive publication and very authoritative. Good test. It can be seen that the pilots are able to handle the steering wheel. Not like autobloggers.

In my car OG M2 actually the Trofeo R is fastest tire of the lot. I would say 1sec faster than cup 2 on 2:30 slovakia ring. P-zero probably in line with Supersports which is 3-4 sec slower than Trofeo Rs.

Driver is good sure but I was most impressed by the balance of the Porsche GTS chassis. You never see the guy counter steer violently, he just carries the drift smoothly in a controlled manner. If you take into consideration it was the same driver you can attribute it to that mid engine chassis.

Totally reset my expectations on that chassis because the previous generation GT4 was known to be a scalpel almost too good to be fun, too precise if there was such a thing. This one seemed playful and a complete joy to drive.

Dang, BMW FTW! That GT4 didn't even have a radio and had a freaking fire extinguisher and managed to edge out the CS by less than a second. Pretty impressive for the little CS. Would love to see what a regular Comp would do with a decent set of tires. This just means that in reality, we have very competent little cars.
