Milltek exhaust soon available for M2C

Only OPF-back system available at the moment, but it should look nice with 90mm tips

This is going to be a new kind of exhaust variant... The OPF-back, next to the axle-back and the cat-back.

OPF/GPF is the same as cat-back, as the M2C dosent have secondary catalytic converters.
axle-back = just rear muffler exchange
cat-back = midpipe and rear muffler exchange

I agree, I'm pretty sure the OPF-back will fit on cars without OPF just like a normal cat-back

Some misunderstanding here, MR is correct.

A "cat-back" deletes secondary CATs also as it extends all the way to the end of the Downpipes.

An "OPF-back" is a shorter system and would leave OPFs in place. OPFs are in place of the secondary CATs.

Secondary CATs are not supervised by DME, OPFs are..

So yes you could fit an OPF-back on a non OPF car but then you would be leaving the secondary CATs in place which previously a cat-back would have deleted.

This is the way to go, mid resonator needs to go on EU-Cars to achieve some raw sound!

They won't... OPF is a bigger constraint than the mid-damper. There is a much bigger chance you will have a massive drone in the cabin with valve open.

This is millteks development, car with cats and opf! Only rear silencer. Its really loud! So i am not convinced that the opf needs to go..

Edit: I think Milltek has mid resonators om both their race and regular system. Maybe needed for the drone?

Interesting, their M4 exhausts seem reasonably priced.

They are well priced, stainless.

I'm not bothered about spending 3x the money for titanium.

I emailed milltek and they said OPF delete is in the pipeline. M4 sport cats / DPs are the same fitment as M2C so no development required for those.

The OPF back system with cheap tips is about £1800 (£50 less for race).

OPF delete will just be longer mid section pipes to extend to bottom of downpipes, so a couple of hundred quid more maybe?

I assume (as per their M3/M4 silencers) you need to swap the flap drive motors from the OE exhaust.

True for M3/M4 s55 with OPF - not so for s55 pre-OPF.

Whilst earlier DPs will fit but they don't have additional sensory mumble for OPF - you'd need to code that out to avoid CEL/limp mode etc.

IMHO, fitting earlier DPs and coding out OPF CEL defeats keeping OPF's intact - you'd be better off gutting them so as they look like they're inplace/intact & hope the car passes an emissions test...

Yes partly.

By same fitment I mean same physical dimensions and end fittings. Yes OPF cars need the post-CAT pressure bleed line which is same as OPF M4 (no OPF M3 built). The OPF pressure sensor gubbins is on the car not the DP and connects to the pressure bleed line on the DP with a rubber hose.

...But If you a removing OPF then you need to code out checks, so you don't need the bleed line on the DP either...

In the UK there is no emissions test for OPF, only visual inspection and a check for no CELs. If you have no CELs then you will pass. Unless the MOT guy is a) an M2C expert and b) a twat, you will never fail for missing OPF unless it is an obvious botch job or bypass pipes etc.

The MOT petrol emissions test is only for CAT function, lambda etc. not particulates.

Most other manufacturers are integrating their OPFs into the main DP canister along with the CAT so again any MOT tester would have to know that M2C has an external OPF.

The mid silencer looks very much like an OPF might do too.

Opf back system is available now. With either race or (soon to be) EC approved mid silencer.

Yeah sorry I just noticed they seem to say "pre order".

Maybe try a distributor direct from the Milltek website, they might have some latest info.

It's on their website as a new product, doesn't say "coming soon"
