Socal Ethanol & Race Gas Stations

Anyone have a list or source with a list of ethanol or race gas stations in socal? I'm in north Irvine and don't know of any places remotely close by.

I used yelp a while back and found a place I believe in newport that had 100 octane at $10/gal but saw a review from Feb 2021 that said they no longer have it.

Try searching Sunoco and VP Racing gas stations in your area.

Download the GasBuddy app. That's what I used to find where to go.

I'm near you in Laguna Hills and I've found 100 octane/race gas to be an absolute pain to find in our area. I have been running boostane to keep up with my stage 2 93 octane tune.

Shoot, looks like the closest place is a 16 mile roundtrip from home. That's about a whole gallon used just to get gas lol

What mixture are you running? 1.7oz per tank or so?

Oh no, with our terrible gas I run 8oz a tank. It's overkill, but I assume that we are actually pumping true 87 out of the 91 and I want to get to 95 octane to run the stage 2 93 octane BM3 map. I used to run 4oz but would have occasional timing/knock issues with that.

It's ridiculous how crappy our fuel in CA is. I'm in Ventura county and have 3 e85 stations and a station in Agoura hills with 100 at the pump. 100 pump is stupid expensive. I've thought about just buying a 55 gallon drum.

I've moved on from the Boostane mix, it wasn't effective enough for me to run the BM3 stage 2 93 octane, now I'm on the Stage 2 E30 blend and the car is faster and happier than it has ever been. I'm using the station at Crown Valley and Niguel now. It's the closest one for me.

Good to hear! I bought a big bottle of that boostane when I was having some misfiring issues but SSR recommended against using it so I never did get to try it out.

That gas station is a little bit of a drive from me (about 16 miles) but probably the closest station unless I head to Santa Ana. I'll have to try it out sometime as I am pretty bored with stage 1 lol. What is the mix, about 4 gallons of e85 and the rest 91?

I do 3.5 gallons of ethanol and 10.2 of 91. That leaves you at 29.2% E content at 93.3 gallons.

The difference from stage 1 is huge. WOT is a major difference.

The E30 mix is actually slower at low speeds unless you dial back the boost in 1 and 2 because it causes such severe traction control intervention.

That's part of the reason I am looking towards an 18 x 10.5 rear, I need some more and stickier rubber in the back.
